    Re: Ridins Rosters

I'm editing the Contact, Power, Speed, and Fielding ratings to have more closely accurate stats. I'm finished with the edits and have simmed multiple seasons, and it all works out very well. I'll also be adding RodCarew's stances and motions.

Also Ridin I know your going off the 4/27 roster but are you making any moves from after that date? Lamb on the Mets, McDougal on the Nats etc.

            Re: Ridins Rosters

Why do you tweak players to get them in the right place? If you tweak grady siezmore to become a leadoff hitter, then his contact stats are raised a lot and it just makes it pointless. I mean if he is going to his .336 then he is a totally different player. Why does anyone care, unless they are that team, in which case they can just put him at leadoff. I really dont see the point because you are making the game less realistic if you are changing players to fit were they hit in the lineup, b/c then you'll have grady siezmore who hits like .268, hitting .336??? how is that MORE realistic???

              Re: Ridins Rosters

Ridin, I am almost finished all the teams equipment. However there are a number of teams that I have not yet done.

I will G-D willing finish posting for you tomorrow as much as I have done by tonight.

I have actually done alot more than just bats & gloves, but for now I will post only that info so as to not cause you to have to do too much editing.

I wanted to ask you something. Could I just simply post each player by team & what bat & what glove they use? The thing is, I could post it alot faster, but the downside would be that some of the players would already be correct in the game.

However if you agreed to this, this would not be an issue with the Cubs & Marlins since I have already corrected it to only the things that are wrong in the roster for those two teams.

Rididn.... just so you know this is the most accurate there is, I actually watched all the teams games today, tonight & last night that I am posting, & sat there writing down exactly what they used. Except for the Marlins & Cubs whose game I watched friday afternoon.

Dude what the hell is your problem. If you don't like the rosters tweaked then use another set.

.289, .290, .277, and .268, his batting averages the last four years.

                          AND

Player's batting averages fluctuate. It's not "unrealistic" to see players who hit .270ish have a season above .300, although it's not likely. BIG difference.

Power numbers, steals, runs scored usually stay the same. I'd say batting average and, theoretically, RBIs are the most likely to fluctuate.
After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!

Just curious Ridin, any idea how many players' ratings you've had to tweak to get the lineups right? Are we talking a handful, 50, 100+? It sounded like you had to do a lot of edits to get the Indians' lineups fixed. Was that more the exception than the rule?
