    Re: RidinsRosters Series 2-3/23 update

    awesome work ridin cant wait!

Additionally the brewers released Mike Lamb today. It appears as if Casey Mcgehee will be the backup 3b. He has had an incredible spring hitting .370 6 homers thus far including a walkoff homer this past Monday. From what i recall he is quite awful on the game, one of the worst rated on Brewers team.

Personally as a brewer fan I am a bit shocked they went the route they did. Not that I was a Mike Lamb fan but appears as if the Macha era is beginning. Youth over old aged guys who lack defense

He deserves a chance to start.

Well Bill Hall isnt a quality starting 3b so he may get that chance. Its just something many brewer fans did not expect coming into training. He could emerge and see good PT, I wouldnt object. Career wise he's an average hitter nothing special. However last year in AAA he hit .289 with 12 homers and like 95 rbi's So he has a knack to drive in balls which would be of huge plus in a brewers lineup that depends so heavily on scoring via the long ball.

Then again thats all at a AAA level, real question is can he do it at a MLB level? So far this spring he's proved he can. Hes only 26 he still has time to prove himself so yes I agree he deserves his chance as the crew is giving him.

Its also good to see Defilice is going to be getting a shot too. 32 years old pitched several times in minors very little in bigs. Had great spring minus 1 outing.

I wanted to see Gamel start, but he didn't get to play much because he was injured. I know that he came back around the time that Bill Hall did. How is he doing now? Do you have any idea? I hope that they both get some early starts. I like Bill Hall, but there's too much talent behind him. Bill Hall would be great for their bench.

Ridin... First off thanks for the work on these man.
I have a question that maybe you can answer for me. How many total "A" editable players are they and how many "A" prospects can you make (I think 26 but checking for sure)?
Finally would you care to make a quick post of all of the "A" players that have 0.000 on the MLB service time?

If you do not have time no biggie I was just got to get a head start on seeing which "A" prospect was less deserving so I could edit one player as myself.... again thanks a ton for doing these!!!

Are you doing this for franchise or season? You don't need to remove a player with an A rating like that. Just sign a free agent with A potential (there are LOADS of them) and change the person to your liking.

I thought we could only change not MLBPA players? Are you sure about this?

I think that he was asking because if you're playing a franchise, when you start your franchise, more editable players are added to the free agent pool. Some of them have A potential.

Cool I did not know that... So if a player like Jason Heyward is a "C" then I can recreate him as an "A"... but I still have to do this every time I start a new franschise instead of just once on the main Roster.
I was also asking incase I kinda disagreed with who the "A" prospects where.. but I was trying to be nice

                        It's cool. I understand.

I'm just curious, who are you planning on changing that is currently listed as having A potential?

I am not sure that is why I asked for a list
I just know the last update that I downloaded had three guys from the Twins farm system as "A"' but had a few guys like Jason Heyward as a "c", I was also going to recreate Travis Snider...

I dunno if it's been mentioned yet but the Cubs have gone back to the old batting helmets for every player. The new ones broke too many times last year.
