Has anyone tried out the stamina rosters yet? If so how are they working out
? I ask because I'm still only in my first series with v5 so starting over wouldn't be a huge deal if it's worth it.

I haven't really noticed a huge difference with the stam edits and the reccommended sliders by razr but I'm only 3 games in

Ok im confused about the different versions. Are there versions for non patch and ones for patched, if so which set is for what?

I'm playin with the stamina rosters and they are awsome remember when you play to set the stamina at the following levels
human starter 2 reliver 2
cpu starter 3 reliver 2
manager hook 8

right now I'm in the 3rd game of my cubbies chise and in the first game oswalt went 6 zambrano went 5.2, second game dempster went 6 wandy went 9 and so far i'm in the 8th and lilly is tiring down and moehler was taken out in the 6th great roster guys they are awsome

Knight & RAZR....thanks so much for everything guys, these rosters are amazing...Knight, quick question about the Bailey edit...was he included in the stamina edit version of full minors 5? i heard you included him in one of your roster versions but i was playing v5 and he wasn't in...sorry to be a nerve

I assume you're talking about Bailey having a B potential- it's only in version 6 that I know of. That's the main reason I started my franchise with that version. I'm not sure if he was included in the stamina edit of v.4 or 5.

You set the sliders to 2? The sliders seem fine to me where they're at. I tried moving them down one peg, and it seemed too drastic. I noticed 1-0 games where neither starter pitched more than seven innings. Just seemed strange. I'd expect a pitcher working on a four-hitter to go into the eighth.

Mr. Knight, I can't for the life of me figure out how to make Jack Cust a DH. I've made my own adjustments to the roster due to the season's results so far and I've been able to get each lineup current to present day (to offset the lineup glitch/CPU logic) except for Oakland and it's now driving me insane - I've done everything.

Suggestions?

Be open to changing the CPU and USER starters from 3 and 2.

I'm playing every matchup and i want most starters to really tire at around 100 pitches.....so i turned them back to 5 each which is the default setting.

I'm sure i'll find out after a few days of playing all the match-ups if they need to be tweaked or not.

Be open to changing the CPU and USER starters from 3 and 2.

I keep the starter stamina at default (5).

But I drop the relievers stamina slider all the way down to zero. And that is with using the v5s roster set. I went even further and lowered all the closer's stamina down to 15 instead of 25. And I also bump up manager hook once to (6).

I get the best results this way. Reliever stamina was way overdone in this game out of the box.



Also, I wanted to give a big thanks to Knight and everyone else who worked on these rosters! Well done!

I haven't touched the sliders at all in this game. However, I bumped the starter and reliever stamina down once and saw simulations I didn't like. For example, a 1-0 game with four to five pitchers used on every team. I just got turned off from lowering the stamina when I saw a pitcher removed after six innings of a four-hit shutout.

The higher the manager hook, the more likely they are to pull a pitcher. I haven't messed much with the sliders either. I play all of my games and sometimes they CPU leaves relievers in for 2 or 3 innings until they come to bat if I'm not hitting them and swinging early in counts other times they only last a couple of batters if I am really hitting the ball.

Everything has seemed pretty realistic to me. The only thing I'm not sure about is the CPU using pitchers in 3 or 4 games in a row.

I'm using he v5 roster without the stamina edits. Stamina sliders are not altered. Right around 65-70 pitches all my starters have maybe 10% energy left, always...

moving the stamina sliders down was answered by razr in an earlier pot i think pg 160

what was answered? I looked at pg 155 and forward and only saw hat he wrote what to set them for...

The DH has to be....the second best hitter at a certain position...BUT the best hitter not in the lineup already.(combined contact+power). Once he is the best hitter at that position....he will also play the field there.
Hope this helps.
If Cust plays 1B as well as OF....and Giambi is better as a hitter...try changing his primary position to 1B....Giambi will still play 1B and Cust will probably DH. This will also work for the other OF positions. USUALLY....they will look to the primary position first.
