Is there anyway we as a community can use Razr/Knight/Struts edits and update one of the new 4/27 or 4/20 line-ups so that there is no historical stat glitch?

Hey Knight is there any way to edit starters to get them to stick in the correct opening day order you set the rotations in ??

A few examples..... I set Walter Silva to be SD's #3 starter but when I start a season with CPU roster control OFF they always make Shawn Hill the #3 and Silva the #5 because he's the lowest overall which is understandable but it totally ruins my 3rd game pitching match up using the Dodgers against the Padres because Silva started game 3 in real life and the Dodgers never faced Hill

The same problem with the Giants and Cain & R.J. ruins my opening day game against the Giants because R.J. was the real #2 but the A.I. makes Cain the #2 which kills that real match up

Also the A.I. switches Doug Davis & Jon Garland around even though Davis is the real #3 starter

Is there any fairly easy way to adjust the pitchers overall rating to make the correct rotation orders stick without effecting there core pitching attributes and ability's to much

If not or it's too much of a hassle I will just deal with inaccurate pitching match-ups because I refuse to not have injuries

I may be wrong but wasnt there a version that was going to have:

- Lineup fix
- Struts stances\motions
- Stock pitchers (and pitch types) ie no Razr edits

Well, I did not want to ask for this one. Glad someone else did! I would love this set if it is not to much work for you.

Is there any fairly easy way to adjust the pitchers overall rating to make the correct rotation orders stick without effecting there core pitching attributes and ability's to much

You can always edit the overall simply edit the players attributes.

So version of knights roster is out now on teh roster vault to download and what does teh rosters contains anybody knows if its pitching edits or stats or whatever

I've downloaded it. I have all 3 of Knight's versions saved, and it looks like either version 1 or version 2. They are very similar, so I don't know which one it is.

I don't want to change anything drastic that makes the pitcher better or worse then he really is, I just want the rotation orders to stick

Okay

We thought we had the historical stat glitch "solved"....but it was the game loading and SCEA default roster.

Countryboy took a VERY early "quick fix" version of my lineup fix(no minor leaguers in it)....and used it....it must have been before I went to SportsConnect and got "infected"...

Yes, I thougt maybe this was the case. I think I had an uninfected copy on my computer at one point too, but I deleted it. Good think CB had one.

The reason that is so important to me...is the number of editable players...the number of A-B potential guys and the fewer number of "scrap heap" free agents....was simply the best on that update. Every subsequent update from SCEA got poorer and poorer from a roster maker standpoint. The latest one(which I would have had to have used if I was going to do it) is the worst. Littered with fake players(non editable) and FA's that are not picked up. Not one editable player on the FA list. Waste of time for a franchise.

I noticed that when I made my Cubs franchise roster based off of the 4/27 roster. There were a few uneditible guys in AAA I had to dump, and I don't think they were devs. This is the worst one to edit, no doubt.
So I will eventually copy my Full Minors to that base.
Just make sure it doesn't indeed have the career stat glitch.
What version will I do....yet to be determined..(don't worry, there is plenty of time )

v2(lineup fix) is "better" than v3(position players stock) in some regards because even when I did the edits just to get the lineups correct...I still work very hard to make sure the stats will be true to life......that poster was just pointing out some things he noticed between my edits and stock...that my edits actually played out better(when he...like many didn't think it would happen)

OH, I see, I knew all about the stock vs non-stock, but wasn't sure what he was getting at about it being better. Now I see.

v2-same as above with some fixes and AAA-AA lineups set
v"3"-stock position players

I'm waiting on the v3 and v2 sets from Razr and Strut(strut has already updated v3 with his stances...Razr is updating his pitches on it now...Strut is updating v2 now....Razr will get it update it and then they BOTH just need some minor fixes on my end and I will get them both out ASAP.)

so v4 and v5 will be v2 and v3 updated respectively(as above) and will be the final versions of those.

I'm updating the pitchers right now on v3 to be stock(to make it total stock)....I will also add struts stances and that will be out completing the spectrum of rosters!!!

V3 is based off the "contaminated" one still, correct? If so, it doesn't matter to me, I just want the stock pitchers, stock players, and full minors or a lineup fix one with stock pitchers. I like a lot of what Razr did with the pitches, but want some guys to have their 4 seamers back. I think he mentioned he may add some back to some guys that throw them again, and that would be great if he did. Until/if then, I will use the stock pitchers and change some of the pitchers myself.

Hey man, not sure if you saw this, but I tried to help you out in the patch thread when you asked about this:

Really the only way is through ratings. For starting rotations it basically goes straight off overall rating. You can sacrifice in a few areas without losing too much IMO. For example, with Smoltz and the Red Sox, while I was testing, I reduced Stamina and Pitching Clutch mainly. He pitched as would be expected for a guy coming off of injury.

His is an easier one, however, since he's not projected to pitch a full year or anything, but that's the jist. Also You can fool with BB/9 and inidividual pitch control ratings as they play off eachother (Meaning you can reduce one or the other with limited hit to performance but a slight knock to overall rating).

It really depends on the pitcher. You have some wiggle room for almost every pitcher, but in a different category...lol. It's a bit of trial and error.

Hope that helps a tad.

Clutch and stamina are almost universally editable (meaning you can easily afford to lower them in most cases with little to no impact on results) you per/9 ratings can be tweaked on a case by case basis (remember they play off of pitch ratings too).

There are plenty of guys who have a bit too much control as well, so if you do't want to edit the overall for that (BB/9) then you can get into the control ratings of the individual pitches.

Wasnt really asking for lineup fix, struts additions, and stock pitchers and pitch types but I had sworn awhile back this set was mentioned but I hadnt seen anything lately on it. I would love this set as well

Forgive me if it has been answered, but if you had to wage a guess at this juncture, but what is your current ETA on v5?
