OK so now I'm confused. When I first downloaded the set I made the accurate player moves, including trading Andy Phillips from the Pirates to the White Sox. Just now I was going through the White Sox players and noticed another Andy Phillips. He didn't have a picture, but played the same positions as the real Andy Phillips, same height, 15 pounds heavier, and somewhat similar attributes. He didn't seem like a created player because he had service time (although it was different than the actual Andy Phillips in the game). I looked through MiLB.com and Baseball America to see if there were in fact Andy Phillips, but only found the one. Any idea what happened here?

Also, is Daryl Ward in the set?

Which rosters do you recommend for franchise 2p , with me controlling the rosters? sorry if it has been answered.

I would still go with v5 right now.

That's because I didn't see Andy Phillips on the Pirates....I created an Andy Phillips for the Sox.
That's been fixed for v5...I moved the "real" Andy Phillips to ChiA and edited the fake one into SS Chris Barnwell of Pitt

Daryl Ward is indeed in the set...he is on the FA list.

Knight, sorry I would normally go through the thread again searching for my answer but not being here for a few days results in a million new pages.

In your first few versions I remember you said there were 2 guys who had doubles. Who were they? Also, is Ben Broussard in the set anywhere, I can't seem to find him.

Yes...Phillips(I see you found him )...and Eduardo Morlan.
Both have been corrected for v5.
If you are doing it yourself...swap the Phillips(putting the real one on ChiA) and make the fake one SS Chris Barnwell on Pitt.
Make the Morlan on S.D.(?) Ryan Houston.

hey knight I got a question for ya I can't find ron villone anywhere and I'd like to put him on the nats roster i use the ver 5 up to date roster from jibby, is ythere any way you can help me do this the article below id from mlbdepthcharts.com again thanks for the awsom roster

The Nationals have designated LHP Mike Hinckley (4.66 ERA in 9.2 IP) for assignment and purchased the contract of LHP Ron Villone, who was signed to a minor league deal back on April 10th. The 39 year-old has allowed 2 ER and 4 hits with Triple-A Syracuse. Hinckley, 26, did not allow an earned run in 13.2 IP after being called up towards the end of the 2008 season but struggled badly with control this season, issuing 11 BB's and striking out just 3 in 9.2 IP.

I know but I did a lot of editing to version 3 and I really like how far I've come with it. I've added a lot of players and whatnot. I still plan to download the rest of the versions at some point.

Yeah but the Phillips you created has service time. How did you do that, it doesnt seem like you can edit the service time.

Also, another question. Idk if you have the answers but throughout the board I've seen mention of editing contracts outside of franchise. I can't seem to figure it out though.

I just noticed that Jack Spradlin (Washington) has Tayler Burden as his audio name lol. Idk if you fixed that for the more recent versions, but figured I'd point it out to you. Doesn't matter much to me I'm editing him to someone else anyway.

I assume with you being a Met fan you created Takahashi for the newer versions. What delivery did you give him?

Hey Knight... I'm more into realistic gameplay than stats, so I was wondering... how much do the lineup fixes effect gameplay and how bad do the lineups get mixed up without it? I mean, Grady Sizemore batting 3rd for the Indians doesn't seem like THAT bad of an idea to me. So long as the logic the computer uses isn't completely ********, I'm ok with it. Just don't want things like Jose Reyes batting cleanup or Prince Fielder batting leadoff.

Will you still be making a version you personally edit to more closely resemble realistic attributes for gameplay with no lineup fix? I'm sure there's some stock ratings you didn't agree with and I'd love to benefit from your knowledge and not use COMPLETE stock, I'm just not totally sold on the lineup fix.

I edited one of the Nats lower level pitchers to Villone. Go to Nats site on MLB.com. Click on him in Rosters and you can get all his vitals. You'll have to get types of pitches from someplace....I don't know those (I just gave him fastball, curve, slider, changeup & sinker). I made him a RP with pretty low stamina....who can't hit a lick, but can bunt.
You will need to find a pitcher to edit who bats and throws left, as those two things are not editable. If you have any artistic talent, you can get his face pretty close.
BTW...you will only find his first name in the announcers list....I guess The Show thought he was over the hill, and he may be.

I don't have the patch and I use Knights V2, with Psycho sliders and it plays great.

Knight is releasing a V5, which is like a better V2, for non patched systems.
