    Knight,
Let me just say how much I appreciate your work on these rosters and how helpful you have been. I know I have asked some questions of your other rosters in the past and you were gracious to answer my questions.

Hopefully I speak for most when I say take your time. In the end, even though we like using your rosters and can't wait to use this new one, you are like most of us in that you have various responsibilities that are more important than the games we play, but we do love to play those games.

I say all that to say thanks for all the hard work and your willingness to share your work with those of us who are too lazy to do any work on these rosters for ourselves

        Knight,

First of all, thank you for all of your hard work. I really enjoy using your rosters and I'll wait a month if that's what it takes.

I was wondering, since you hadn't finished the Twins yet, if you were considering including Miguel Angel Sano. He's going to be our top prospect, so he seems worthy of a roster spot.

Thanks again. Sano or not, your rosters are incredible.

I'm going to be tweaking my defensive ratings myself and an important aspect to me was positional adjustments. For example, hypothetically:

          Albert Pujols (1B) - Range = 95
          Albert Pujols (3B) - Range = 95?

If you shift a player from position to position, specifically from a corner position to a premium position, does his range stay the same? Good range for a first baseman is different than good range for a shortstop.

Does the computer adjust for range differences between positions?

If he has that position in the editor or on his card...no.
He takes a hit if he's not "rated" at that position.
How much, I can't remember what they told us at the event earlier this year.

Re: Knights End of Season Set

              Gentlemen,

All I have to say is that I am sure most of you all seen the movie "Old School" and there is a scene when one of the guys is at work and is demanding to be allowed to rush the Fraternity. He says "Mitch, I need this and my wife makes me play golf...and I hate golf." This video game and only this video game is one of my only lifelines to hanging on to a sport that I once excelled at in high levels of competition. This isnt only the way that I feel, but its also the way countless people feel as well.

With all the help with rosters and sliders, it has made this game an enjoyment to play and sometimes serves as a relief to come home from the rigors of work to the comfort of your favorite chair sitting in front of your 67" Samsung 1080p HDTV that is now familiarly called the "throne." Once again, I have to say thank you to all of you and the arduous tasks that you have assigned yourselves such as adjusting attributes for a player to reflect his true performance level or formulating attributes on prospects to be future superstars is no overlooked project in my honest opinion. So once again a big thank you to all of you who make this place enjoyable for people like me.

              Cheers and salute!

              J

It's been crushing at work....last night...and so far today .....so I can only tell you off the top of my head....I believe Anderson and Cahill are A's and Mazzaro a B.
I don't think I'll get much in today....so I'm going to have to put it in high gear tonight when I get home.
Tomorrow is my first baseball session with my grandson.....who is 4 1/2.(I know....baseball season is nearly over...but he lives in Brooklyn, I gotta take it when I can get it!)
He's already a slugger at whiffle ball.....so I've got high hopes!

Once again...sorry for the delay....but trust me...we're close.

How exactly do they calculate ratings? I'm especially interested in defense (range, specifically). Do they use sabermetrics, or conventional stats?

Thanks for all of your hard work Knight. Just wondering about a couple of Royals players. Are Moustakas and Hosmer both A potentials being the Royals top prospects.

I know Moustakas is.....Hosmer may have "dropped" to B only because of the limited amount. I determined A's by bringing up 5 different scouting lists and giving the first 22(?...I forget how many A's I had to work with) on each list a check mark.....the 22 guys with the most checks got the A's....I had to save 5 A's for the first 5 2009 draft picks(Strasburg...Ackley....etc)
In one way I wish SCEA would allow us to edit potential....but in other ways...I'm glad I'm limited...I'd be handing out A's left and right .....
