Re: Knights End of Season Set
Any update on the pitch edits? Can't wait for them to get finished"Hate my game, hate my swagger, my hunger. Hate that I'm a veteran, a champion. Hate that, hate it with all your heart...

Re: Knights End of Season Set
Knight,
Since this football season seems to be getting uglier by the second in NY which would free up alot of spare time on weekends I was thinking about re-rating SCEAs position players based on this years performance off the next set (TD's w/ pitch edits) for personal use as alot of players still seem over/under rated (Ortiz comes right to mind as does Guerrero). Do you have a template that you use to compile ratings in the game. (IE. .315 v. RHB hitter past 3 years would have a 94 rating), that could help me out.
Thanks
yo I hear you... i also really agree.. if you mean ortiz as in big papi, as in overrated? In the game he seems too clutch and HR ready. Which he already was not in 2008 mind you, let alone 2009's season.Comment

Re: Knights End of Season Set
say, to all you folks spending time this yr making custom rosters... and everyone waiting for them... has anyone thought about first doing attribute related editing to rosters, BEFORE doing visual edits like batting stances, faces, delivery motion edits?
I love visual accuracy as much as the next guy but would I be wrong in thinking that many of us could wait for visual accuracy fixes more patiently to roster sets while playing their game with accurate atrribute rosters, than the other way around as currently?
just a thought for the future 2010?Comment

Re: Knights End of Season Set
15 teams done (NL West, Cincinnati Reds, AL East, AL Central minus Twins)
might finish the set tonight, at least according to my buddy (he quits earlier than I do so who knows)
i heard some grumbling about scea ratings...they aren't all that bad...Knight has done some editing himself, along with some included in my update...things are pretty accurate TRUST ME. things should sim out ok, and i will run a test sim before releasing the set to knight...
ok just that little update, hit you guys up later tonightComment

Re: Knights End of Season Set
What's Martin Prado hitting in sims? Is it over .300 or at least near? Is Chipper hitting .10 points or more over .300? Because he probably shouldn't be.
Sorry to ask questions I'm sure have been answered... but what is being worked on currently? Are they pitch type edits or just visual stuff?
Has stamina been fixed?
ThanksComment

Re: Knights End of Season Set
Just think that there are more than a few players that SCEA continues to over/under value. Vladdy Guererro is one. He is fading quick (however in his prime was truly great), that was obvious to all throughout the year and his final numbers while skewed by injuries were terrible. His ratings though are still off the charts as one of the top 25 players in the game. In fantasy drafts he goes within the first 2 rounds. Ortiz in seasons I have simmed through comes out with averages ranging from .263 - .290. Not gonna happen anymore. Adam Lind was a guy terribly underrated by SCEA. Thats why some ratings definitely need to be re-looked at, at least for my own franchise.Comment

Re: Knights End of Season Set
the pitch edits should have addressed rivera, he shouldn't be throwing that fast anymore...(though i have no real knowledge of his stuff)
Adam Lind had one great year, and SCEA has given his ratings a boost in response...
Jeter's attributes are fine...
David Ortiz has been addressed
any others fellas? i appreciate you telling me what might need fixed...Comment

Re: Knights End of Season Set
scea didn't screw the pooch too bad on vlad, it was pretty close to his career numbers but yes you were right he was way overrated and i have fixed that...you should be happy when getting the setComment

Re: Knights End of Season Set
players needing adjustments that i have gotten to that i can name off the top of my head:
Vlad
Curtis Granderson
Magglio Ordonez
Wily Taveras
David Wright
Kendry Morales
Homer Bailey
believe me guys i don't want to release a piece of crap either, scea ratings have pissed me off in the past but they aren't half bad in the update knight worked on...
back to work!Comment

Re: Knights End of Season Set
TD,
Dont get me wrong if you feel the need to rerate players thats cool, for my personal use I was gonna re edit certain players cause I felt they were over/under rated. If you feel Scea was close then by all means leave it, dont re edit players on the account of us if you feel they dont need it (or me speciffically LOL)OS Longtime Lurker - Extremely occasional OS Poster

Re: Knights End of Season Set
The thing about SCEA is that they also tend to give players the benefit of the doubt (overrated) in most cases based on past achievements (Vladdy, Tavares) and/or hype (Papi, Ellsbury) while players having career years (or in Linds case living up to their potential when they arrived, Jason Kubel is another that falls into that category, Morales) tend to be underrated. Zack Grienke, up until the later updates, was another vastly under rated player by SCEA.Last edited by JaSnake16; 11-12-2009, 10:11 AM.OS Longtime Lurker - Extremely occasional OS Poster
