I'm so confused on why you guys use sliders...it was necessary in previous show games but this year the stock sliders w/ the stamina tweaks work AMAZING for me...

Ja I will be playing some games using the new set tonight and will see what happens...its nice seeing that some games can be simmed and played and nobody will jack one out (never happened before)...

SCEA screwed the pooch with the power rankings, way too high...way too high...

Play Knights old set with Psycho's set and you'll see what the hypes about LOL. Baseball nirvana as close to real life as it gets IMO. But your right about the power way to high.

to anyone who's having trouble finding it on the roster vault or to anyone who does not have access, here is the most recent roster as of today. i did no work at all with these rosters, and all credit is due to knight and the rest of the many hard working roster editors.

but see matt you just did your part by posting these ....btw I still have like 7 dollars of late fees at blockbuster from doing those roster pitch and stamina edits...haha, they keep on charging my card but its declining so I get nice computer voice messages every couple days

ja...knights old set? are you talking about openingday set v5s? I've never used sliders on anything outside of stamina adjustments and the show plays like baseball nirvana...nothing screwy everything realistic ...mlb 08 the show, however, I did use custom sliders b/c of the throwing and speed glitches...

Nah dude, he plays with Knights set so when he tunes his sliders he tunes them while using Knights set. By old set Im just referring with anyone that doesnt include the re-rates. I also know that he didnt use any set with the stamina edits as when that set was released I asked him then if he was gonna make any modifications for that particular set and he said then that he didnt play with them but gave some recommendations. Ive always found his sliders to produce the most accurate games but I do agree that out of the box this year might have had the best logic of any other entry in this series.

surprise! a quick update for ya'll...thanks to whomever directed towards the fake player zachary sizemore, I have officially 'travis snider'd' homer bailey...

I also took the liberty of switching Wilkin Castilla the fake catcher on the reds to the real-life Michael Griffin at 2B for cincy's AA squad...(merely copied him over from knight's opening day set..actually am sure that's who knight used for him in that set)

Anyone with any feedback on the re-rates? Does anyone look out of whack? Only one I scratch my head back looking at it is probably Dan Uggla who is one of the lower rated 2Bs that starts in the set.

Gonna go through the set again tommorrow I might take a look at defense a bit more closely as some players are really Effed up. Mike Bourn (needs across the board increase), Mike Lowell (decrease in reaction), Jacoby Ellsbury (is so good in center that they signed Mike Cameron and moved Ellsbury to left yet SCEA has him as one of the best defensive OFers in the game), Pedro Feliz (increase) are just some examples. Gonna do anything by feel not by database as I really didnt understand how the fielding values were computed but I will PM Bahnzo about it.

TD, want me to go through your durability set or just use the original re-rate set for any further changes? As far as the pitching edits, does anybody want me to look into this for a true FINAL release for Show '09. I have the time tommorrow..............the only question is do I have the will. (Duh, duh, duhhhhhhhhhhh)

I played with the marlins v. the rays the other night, Uggla was raking 'em two RBI singles and a HR. I use a combo of Dr Ursus & Pyscho sliders. overall I love the feel of the re-rated rosters, i was curious if some defensive edits were done was because for the first time neither team had the over the firstbaseman head error, and the defense just felt a lot tighter. I'm going to grab the latest "durabilityedits" from the vault. Once again great work by all involved

Ja, I'm meeting up with a friend who works with computers on a daily basis in a couple days & he can hopefully set me up and get this program working on my laptop...if all goes as planned I will be able to split the work in creating the spreadsheet & inputting the numbers in the game...if that doesn't work I could always take the numbers from the spreadsheet and put them the game after you are done...

the last update to the set I have uploaded is durabilityeditsv1pm i think...read up in the thread it included the homer bailey edit...I'm pretty tired tonight so I'm not sure if I will get to fixing something minor w/ the new homer but if you want to begin doing your fielding edits please start off with this set & I'll get to it after you are done...

When they edited the pitchers' ratings, did they also edit the ratings of most of the minor league pitchers? I'm thinking of constructing a 2010 roster set for the Braves just to get me accustomed with some of the players. So I'm wondering if RP Michael Dunn (came from the Yankees) has "realistic" ratings.

Also, I can't find Mitch Jones and Troy Glaus. Can anyone help me out? I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

matt dude...nobody has touched the ratings of the pitchers such as k/9 h/9 etc. etc...bb/9....all that has been done to the pitchers was editing their pitch types and pitch ratings to effect realism...

ja has qualms about finishing everything off and doing the pitch ratings but it is a lot of time and dedication and he just finishing doing all the batters...Ja/anybody do consider that the pitchers will be a little bit quicker and easier due to the fact that their pitches/movement/control won't have to be messed with...

troy glaus is still in stl dude, not sure about that other guy...look around the teams couldn't be any closer to accurate than it was during the postseason
