haha sure man. i just played in a good region in high school and college. had a scout tell me that our series vs. russell county was the best display of high school ball he'd ever seen. they had cory and colby rasmus, kasey kiker(all 3 1st round picks) and we had austin adams and joseph sanders(5th rnd picks) and brandon hamilton(sandwich 1st rounder). they also had a 7th and like 15th rounder and every starter on our team signed a scholarship. sorry for bragging just thought that was pretty cool

Re: O.S. Full Minors 2010
Knight, you may have missed it but the slthree gazette (one of the most respected journals) has Jason Heyward rated a 99 in every single category... yeah, thats right, every single category
Don't worry about looking it up. Just trust meComment

Re: O.S. Full Minors 2010
Man, quit lying to a man of Knights stature!!! Heyward was a 99 in everything but drinking beer, he was an 11 in that category, but that might only be because he is 20!!! See what he misses out on by not going to college!!!Comment

Re: O.S. Full Minors 2010
im a bama fan but never got a serious look from them. it was looking like auburn then i broke my wrist during football season abd had to have surgery to get a pin in and my range of motion struggles from it. i ended up going to central alabama cc. i set a few records there and had some bigger offers but i am at bama now and not playing ball. being 5-6 isnt a scouts dreamComment

Re: O.S. Full Minors 2010
hey knight, ksig, and the crew: thanks for putting these rosters together.
I went ahead and came up with my 90 for the Phillies Org (25 MLB/25AAA/25AA/15A). I started with the 38 on the 40-man as of 1 MAR (1 MAR because that's really when the schedule starts for Franchise mode...I like to be accurate up to then and then let my franchise go "fantasy" from there) plus the non-roster invitees (NRI) to ST and then the 2010 Baseball America Top 30 prospects (the three guys traded for Halladay on this list were replaced by the three acquired for Lee). I took out two catchers from NRI (teams invite so many catchers to ST because of all the pitchers in camp) and one of the Top 30 because of logistics (#26, RHP, Edgar Garcia). Once you do all the math, that gets you to 74 (trust me..ha). So, I had to find 16 players not on the 40/NRI/BA Top 30 to fill out the spots. The website phuturephillies.com was an awesome resource to help me determine the final 16.
When determining who goes where for each level, I had some general guidelines I was going by. Basically those rules boiled down to, first, it had to be at least plausible that the player should be there and, second, that the AA and AAA teams (and of course the MLB team) were true teams not just places to stockpile prospects. That meant the benches needed to have a utility infielder, at least a fourth outfielder, backup catcher, etc. and the bullpen looked like a "real" bullpen (lefty specialist, setup, long man, etc.).
So, here are the squads. If I have a #X in parentheses, that's the ranking of that player in the BA Top 30 (Aumont, Gillies, and Rameriz rankings are from the Seattle list). 40[x] is that guy is on the 40-man and the number in the brackets is the number of options he has left (thanks to phuturephillies.com for the remaining options info). NRI is self-explanatory and, like I said, there should be 16 names without any notations. Finally, I put Antonio Bastardo on the 25-man MLB squad (he was in the minors on the 8 MAR roster set) and dropped Sergio Escalona to the minors.

Thanks again for putting these rosters together. I can't tell you how cool it was to have my 2015 Phillies from MLB 2009 play the 2015 Orioles in the WS and to see so many of the guys you all created battling it out for the championship (my Phils took the crown in 6, BTW...revenge for 1983!!!!).Comment

Thanks so much for doing these. I used them last year in '09 and it just made the general game experience so much greater. Can't wait!Comment

Re: O.S. Full Minors 2010
last years 2k effort left me to go out and acquire an old xbox, mvp 05, and an action replay so that i could play the best baseball game alive (in my mind)..but then i learned that it was because of a half development cycle. so i kind of forgave them.
four days ago i was playing mlb 2k10. from what i watched over the offseason i was pretty impressed by the strides 2k has taken. i was fiddling around with the menu's and so on. 2k nav was driving me nuts. then i went into gameplay. my god was it terrible. i was so let down. i dont know how to say how let down i was. was i surprised? not at all. but let down none the less. at least this year there is no roster edit limit.. oh wait. there is. that was the final straw for me.
then i said. you know what. i've had enough. i've been so disappointed with 2k's baseball effort ever since they got the rights. i'm not going to let myself have this anymore. so i went out and bought a ps3. i was so mad that i went out and spent $400 on mlb 10 the show (because everyone is raving about it) and a ps3. lastnight i hooked it up. installed everything i needed to. and got to play a couple games. and my oh my was i impressed.
the point of this all is that, because accurate rosters were impossible on 2k10, i went out and bought a ps3 after reading this thread. i've read every page and have kept looking back every day. your guys' hard work is going to be appreciated by everybody INCLUDING MYSELF. so in advance i'll say thank you very much. i cannot wait to download what you guys have put together, and start my franchise.
i cannot play a game without accurate rosters. when nhl 10 came out, i along with my website partner spent countless days perfecting the nhl 10 roster and we at petrpuck.blogspot.com, didn't play a single game (except exhibitions to test players out) until our rosters were final. it is a big deal for me, in every sports game. it doesn't feel authentic without the right players where they should be.
from one roster guy to another... thank you.
