Corey Brock tweets that Richard is #4 starter and Latos is #5 for San Diego. Stairs will bump someone off the 40-man...probably a pitcher?

Looks like Thatcher to DL, so Stauffer, Gallagher and Mujica are on the 25-man for now. Do they have no options left in the game, too?

I was just coming on here to post about Latos being named #5. Stauffer and Gallagher in the game have options. If i have to guess who gets bumped, imo its Frieri.

Today the Marlins announced their rotation for the start of the season:

          Josh Johnson
          Ricky Nolasco
          Anibal Sanchez
          Chris Volstad
          Nate Robertson

There is also a good chance RF Cody Ross will start the season on the DL. I know you roster guys do a phenomenal job but people tend to not pay much attention to the Marlins so I just wanted to give a heads up.

Thanks for the hard work, fellas.

            here are some Indian notes...

Jeremy Sowers, Trevor Crowe, and Wyatt Toregas did not make the team and will be in AAA Columbus

The 5th Starter is still being decided between David Huff and Carlos Carrasco... Huff pitches today, so expect the decision to be made shortly after his start.

Otherwise the roster is basically set... looks like this...

Starters: Jake Westbrook, Fausto Carmona, Justin Masterson, Mitch Talbot, (Huff or Carrasco)

Bullpen: Chris Perez (closer), Rafael Perez (setup), Aaron Laffey, Tony Sipp, Joe Smith, Jamey Wright, Jensen Lewis

Catchers: Lou Marson (starter), Mike Redmond

Infielders: Travis Hafner (DH), Matt LaPorta (1B), Luis Valbuena (2B), Asdrubal Cabrera (SS), Jhonny Peralta (3B), Andy Marte, Mark Gruzielanek

Outfielders: Grady Sizemore (CF), Michael Brantley (LF), Shin-Soo Choo (RF), Austin Kearns (4th OFer)

Disabled List: Kerry Wood, Russell Branyan, Hector Ambriz... oh and Anthony Reyes is on the 60 day DL

Maybe....he had a nice year, though, and might be snatched. I'm thinking Garrison...strong upside, but coming back from injury. Teams might be less inclined to take a risk on him. Just MHO.

It's more likely going to be either Radhames Liz or Cesar Ramos. They can't risk losing Steve Garrison.

Rangers 2B Ian Kinsler will start the season on the DL. Andres Blanco will be the starting 2B. Joaquin Arias will be the backup IF.

It's going to be tough because Liz has the stuff, and Ramos has potential to be a back end rotation guy, but maybe you're right about Ramos....hmmm.

Hope this hasn't been asked before, but will there be two versions of the rosters? One with injuries and one without (obviously the one with would have players out of the lineup). Thanks in advance!

Like I said before....as far as players...and attributes....the set will be completely done.
Hopefully I'll get all the faces in as well....but we'll go with what we got as of one of those days.
Either way....I'll be finishing up all the faces pretty quickly if I can't get them in the initial release.
                              Everything is looking very good.

I had a thought for creating Pat Vendetti (the switch handed pitcher in the yankees farm system)

"With a side-arm delivery, Pat Venditte thows at 88-91 mph right handed (his natural side) and 78-81 mph from the left."

                                - Make him a right handed pitcher with a running fastball and regular fastball at the right speeds

"As a right-handed pitcher, Venditte owns a 90 mph fastball, curveball and nice changeup. As a lefty, he comes sidearm with a slider and changeup. "

                                - and give him a screwball for the lefty slider
