Re: **Chicago Cubs *2010* edits**
Okay heres the latest
Yesterday the Cubs called up reliever Jeff Stevens and Placed Esmailin Caridad on the DL, I would just go ahead and place him on the AAA roster, since he won't be with the Cubs any time soon.
Also the Cubs are going to announce the signing of reliever Bob Howry either today or tomorrow.
Not, sure how to get him on your team. If you control all 30 teams then you can simply release him, and then have the Cubs sign him. If you don't, then your probably going to have to trade for him.Comment

Re: **Chicago Cubs *2010* edits**
Changes I made:
Derrek Lee: Generic 63
This used to be the Eli Marrero stance.I always thought it looked more accurate than the one he's given.
Marlon Byrd: Aaron Miles
I watch this team everyday and Byrd's in-game stance doesn't work because he's not open anymore. He's now more square and crouched. Give this one a shot.
Jeff Baker: Marlon Byrd
I like Marlon's better for Baker because in the one previously suggested he holds the bat too stiff and too close to his head. The Byrd stance looks more how Baker moves his bat when he's at the plate bouncing it off his shoulder.
Tyler Colvin: Jarrod Saltalamacchia
To me the Harris one isn't even close. Colvin is more relaxed and upright. I would definitely take a look at this one for him.
Also I created a Starlin Castro that I will post pics for later but I heard people were using Manny's stance for him. He's too stiff...I'm using Mauer's, it seems to more accurately represent the way he moves the bat at the plateComment

Not Sure about Miles for Byrd, I am on the fence about that one, still going use for a couple of more games and then we will see.
As for Lee, his sig stance is the closest IMO
Mauer is definitely the stance for CastroComment

Re: **Chicago Cubs *2010* edits**
I kind of felt the same way for Miles for Byrd, but after I looked at Byrd's real life stance, it is the closest thing to it, the open one would of applied to Byrd two years ago but last year he modified it and then again this year where he is more square and hunched over. Try it a few more games, it grew on me.
The Lee one is hit or miss for people, personally, for his signature stance, i feel that the bat points too high and there his something about the angle of his arms that doesn't look right to me. The one I suggested isn't to far off from the signature, only difference is his hands are a little lower and the bat more relaxed, like he has in real life. But these are just suggestions so to each their own, I just love modifying this game and tweaking everything, thats the fun part.Last edited by Starlin4Prez; 05-28-2010, 02:38 PM.Comment

I like the suggestion of Byrd's stance for Baker, that is a good one.

Mauer is definitely the stance for Castro
I prefer Travis Buck for Castro. While you lose the slight left leg movement, the arm and bat movement is spot on to me (I always pay attention to the upper body more, so I'm biased in that regard). What really breaks using Mauer for me is that it's Joe Mauer's stance, he came in and did the motion capture himself, so that's obviously him, complete with walk up, practice swing, home run trot and between pitch animations. That hurts the authenticity factor of playing as Castro for me, and is a big reason I generally change any stances that involve giving another player a big star's swing that SCEA went the extra mile for (e.g. A-Rod, Pujols). YMMV.
Here's a clip from the side of Castro at the plate:

Re: **Chicago Cubs *2010* edits**
After much deliberation and observations I have finally found the correct stance for Ryan Theriot
And that is Derrek Jeter.
The Bat movement is identical, along with body position and the fact that it is a two handed swing.Comment

I think he only threw one pitch for the last out of the inning so there wouldn’t have been much to go on today.Comment

For Cashner right now I am using Justin Verlander...but it is just a preliminary edit, still need more time
Keep Castro as manny ramirezComment

Re: **Chicago Cubs *2010* edits**
It has hit the point where Carlos Silva deserves to be re-rated. The man is 8-0 in 11 starts with a 2.93 ERA. He averages 6.1 Innings per game (I know not quite Ubaldo Jimenez). Obviously his previous seasons cannot be forgotten and the fact that he was a reliever in Seattle. So all that said, what would be all his new ratings?Comment

Re: **Chicago Cubs *2010* edits**
lemme do some more research on Silva's numbers then i'll get back to you
New Updates>>>>
Byrd>>>Garret Anderson
To be honest Anderson is the closest as he is more in a standing position as Byrd is in real life,
Soto>>>Jamey Carroll
Castro>>>> Matt WietersComment
