Props sir. I don't know what to do until Knights come out because I like playing with other teams besides the Cubs so I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do until opening day-ish.

I'm starting a franchise now and I'll play through spring training just to get my fingers and eyes in shape then after opening day I'll get the rosters and start a new chise and just sim through spring training.

One thing I'm not positive about though and maybe someone could fill me in a lil on this but how exactly does the "break" rating affect a 4-seam fastball? Knowing what I know about pitch FX, it should determine how much "rise" is on the ball however I'm not sure if SCEA would have thought of/incorporated that into the game. Especially since there's no lil arrows pointing up when you select the 4-seamer.
Actually a rising fastball is an optical illusion created by the camera perspective angle. If the baseball’s trajectory was to curve upward it would defy the law of gravity.

The updated pitch FX is confusing because they don’t show the trajectory’s degrees from release point to catch point.

Yea, I realize that, thus the quotes around the word rise in my post. In actuallity, the higher the break on a 4-seamer the more it is on a straight line vertically (because it's thrown with more backspin). the lower the break the more sink it would have. Or at least that's the way it should be. Now to find the answer to my question, what does the break rating on a 4-seamer do in the game?

In game, the higher the break rating on a 4-Seam fastball the straighter the trajectory. If the rating is 0 the trajectory will bend downward more then a rating of 99.

So in other words they actually got it right then? In that case I need to redo the break on all 4-seam fastballs as Bahnzo's program has it measuring horizontal break (thus the break numbers being in the 30's and 40's for all 4-seamers).

By the way, one more thing about that control question. In Bahnzo's program it actually displays how many times said pitcher threw each pitch, including how many times it was thrown for a strike and how many times it was thrown for a ball.

EDIT: Updates to pitch edits on 4-seam FB's
Ryan Dempster: 4-seamer break rating changed to 60
Tom Gorzelanny: 4-seamer break rating changed to 66
Angel Guzman: 4-seamer break rating changed to 47
Ted Lilly: 4-seamer break rating changed to 94
Carlos Marmol: 4-seamer break rating changed to 58
David Patton: 4-seamer break rating changed to 47
Jeff Samardzija: 4-seamer break rating changed to 51
Jeff Stevens: 4-seamer break rating changed to 73
Randy Wells: 4-seamer break rating changed to 70
Esmailin Caridad: 4-seamer break rating changed to 64

Edit #2: I realized I overrated many of the updates from the first edit and adjusted them. What's posted here now is correct.

Yep, Generic 91 is DEFINITELY Shannon Stewarts stance in '08 & '09....I used it in '08, but I went back to his original in '09...(and I'm gonna stick with his original in '10 as well...sorry guys)

He does crouch a *tad" more, but the bat angle is PERFECT in his original stance (it's more upright, whereas #91 is angled downward too much for me) - it's slight, it plain bothers me.

I'm gonna keep it how it is.

What about Jake Fox's stance for Theriot? I see it being fairly decent...

No sir...too upright and way too wrong.

Stick with Generic 55...it looks great in-game! (trust me)

After looking aimlessly I would have to say Gen.55 is by far the best one for theriot

Anybody check the new roster update to see if Marmol still had the eye black? My home Internet is out so I can't.

UNBELIEVABLE Brunnoce!!! You are an ABSOLUTE "lifesaver" - this was gonna KILL me throughout the whole season (since I do all my roster edits myself with no help from SCEA's)

                                This worked great!
