Harang gave up another touchdown. Our ace has an era 8.31 is 0-3 and well on his way to a record breaking season for all the wrong reasons. Ondresek better get sent down his era is 12.27 and growing. Not the kind of season ownership expected. Not one win yet by a starting pitcher. Call up Chapman!!!

i think it safe to say the reds front office made a horrible miscalculation, they should have dealt harrang this spring when they could have gotten something for him, now they would be lucky to get a b level prospect. i think the roster base is there, but they stick with these 30 somethings way too long. a good model for the reds is the marlins. they should get the young guys on the big club, let them take their lumps and develop, then acquire "leaders" like rolen. what good does he do on a terrible team? i think in the current economic climate in baseball, teams like the reds need to consign themselves to sucking for 3-4 years, making a run at the thing and then blowing it up and starting over. everyone talks about the twins and the a's and their consistent winning, meanwhile they have won nothing. in that same time frame the marlins have used their method to win 2 titles. i guess the real question is do you want to make money, (i.e. try to be the twins, be competitive sell some tickets every year) or win (like the marlins, resign yourself to an empty stadium with a AAA team for 3 or 4 years, then pack the place for 1 great season, then start over) either way then need to pick a direction because right now they are terrible at both.

Your right, at this rate the reds will be lucky to get Jenna Finch for Harang. But to be honest, the bats haven't been there at all this year so far. The last two games they have shown up, but before that we havn't hit the ball consistantly. Votto is still the only one batting .300, and he is barely there.

That being said, it's frustrating when you score 6 runs and still loose by 8. It seems when teh bats are there the pitching is just plain terrible, and when pitching is there the bats are non exsistant.
I wouldn't ever set out to hurt anyone deliberately unless it was, you know, important -like a league game or something.

ive come to the conclusion that no matter how good you are at evaluating talent, with baseball prospects you are going to miss on more than you hit, the reds are finally getting to the point that they have enough depth that things are bound to work for a couple of these pitchers. that being said, the scott rolen contract extension was idiocy. what the hell? they should have been thinking... what can we turn him into? not lets resign him to the only decent player on a team full of might bes and used to bes.

Hey guys, new member catching up on all the Reds activities and edits. Question, what is the home run animation like at GABP? Steam? Fireworks? How realistic would you say it is? Thanks a million!

Unfortunately no steam. Generic Fireworks in the sky. Nothing from the smoke stacks. Hopefully next year.

I'm wanting to help out in some way with this thread being a huge Reds fan. I am willing to go through here & put all information I find up to the last post in a combined spreadsheet then at the end of the each week, upload the latest worksheet with all changes from the previous week being put in yellow. That includes going through & finding out what every player on the roster is wearing. I'm using the OS Full Minors V.1 so that you know what players I'm referring to. If people want me to do this then I will begin working on this over the weekend & having a finished spreadsheet done by tuesday morning pacific time.

Hi guys, long time Reds fan here. I havent searched the thread so sorry if this has been mentioned but for Mike Leake, what about Generic 13. He kind of slings the ball and thats what the throwing animation on that one looks like. Someone tell me if I am way off on that because if you guys dont think it works than I dont want to use it.

With that said, I switched his throwing motion before his third and most recent start in my franchise. In the first two starts he had an 0-2 record with a 7.50+ ERA. His most recent start, I was able to take a no hitter one out deep into the 8th. I was able to really keep the ball down with that motion and time it well with the meter (which I dont look at its just in my perphrial vision).

Tell me what you guys think. I hope it passes, I want to keep it but I am not an expert at this kind of thing so if its not close than I want to change it to something else.

Edit: Oh and also, our real life team stinks right now.

I'm already getting depressed with the REDS. We wait all off-season for an exciting season, and so far this year has started off the exact opposite of what I was hoping for.

been a reds fan for thirty something years. what led any of you to believe the reds would be really good. we are young and stupid. lots of talent ready to burst. but thats it. i say we are still a few years off. maybe even next year. reds record this year will be around 6 games under. i watch and listen to every game no matter what. will never turn my back. love to watch the children learn. dont be upset with your squad! enjoy the kids while there learning. thats all we can do. GO REDLEGS!

I wanted to let everybody know that I didn't forget to work on the spreadsheet I was talking about. It's just been taking a little longer than I thought. Just to let everybody know I'm using Microsoft Office Excel as the format. The first spreadsheet will not have anything in yellow as it's the 1st one coming out. The 2nd one though will start to have the yellow.
