          The one everyone seemed to use was Pedro Martinez.

          I didn't really like it, so I went with Ramon Ramirez.

          There really isn't one that fits perfectly for him in 09.

                OMFG!!! Travis Wood homered against Wainwright!! in Busch stadium!!
                now that's some serious power there, Ima boost his power to 95 vs Rhp lol! (a 70 would suffice?)

                (gotta admit for a second I thought it was Wainwright who had homered off Wood, but I didn't see the commercial break so...)

                guy now is 2/28 career (.143 avg), but with huge power. Way to go!!

                  now you can add him in there with these Reds pitchers that can hit...(sort of)

                  We have Arroyo who has been a decent hitter in his time Cincy (just ask Glendon Rusch), Micah Owings is arguably one of the best hitting pitchers of all-time, and Mike Leake is batting .340 this season, as a rookie.

                  I wouldn't boost his power vs righties to 70..maybe 12 or 15..

                  but what do you guys have Mike Leake's batting ratings at? I think I have both contacts at 27 or 28 and his power at about 15. seem fair enough?

                    Re: 2010 Cincinnati Reds Complete Edits [GO REDS!]

                    the one that impresses me the most -besides Owings of course- is Jordan (Smith)!
                    I wish Micah pulls an Ankiel. As likable as he is, he's just not a good pitcher (throws soft for 6ft5+wild)

                    T.Wood: a 12 rating nets you 0/1 hr in a 500AB season, he's got one in 28 career at-bats!
                    I believe the 70 (pwr vs Rh) is necessary to have a chance to take Wainwright deep (tough pitcher on hr)... #12 definitely needs at least 55 power vs Rh. [Slap-hitting Eckstein w/a HR every 160 AB has 25 power attributes, mind you]
                    Low Contact ratings, though (.143 4H/28AB)
                    .211 vs Rh (4/19)-->20 to 35 contact vs Rh
                    0/9 vs Lh -->, 0 to 10 contact vs Lh

                    You're a "little" off on #44! as you said he's hitting .340! (16H/59AB .362slg .415obp 5BB-14K) Splits:
                    10/29 .345 vs Rh -->86 to 92 rating
                    6/18 .333 vs Lh -->81 to 85 rating
                    very low power, 5-10 vs Rh (against which he got his only xbh, a double), and 0-4 vs Lh.
                    if you go lower you won't get similar stats while playing w/him

                    I would bump up their fielding/reaction/arm accuracy as well (this is while trying to stay fair, you should see the Leake/Wood I have on my roster lol)

                      I was wondering if anybody had any legit updated CAPS for Wood, Leake, Harang, Ondrusek & Chapman. I have the latest rosters from Knight, but I'm wanting to have my pitching rotation as close to the Reds current one as possible. I just don't want to make the guys "crazy" good. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

                          fellow Reds users..I need some help pitching with Edinson Volquez

                          not so much pitching with him (I'm 7-1 with a 2.88 ERA), but I can't seem to strike anyone out with him. At least not at the rate I feel I should be. I have 77 Ks in 92 innings.

                          How do you guys pitch with him?
                          I usually throw his fastball to start the at bat, and then either a change up or curveball to try to get strike 2. But I can NEVER get batters to chase his change up or circle change up for the strike out. and when they do chase, they somehow reach a ball 4 feet out of the zone and ground out...
