I can't wait to start my chise so, every year i start my team with updated 40 man rosters and go on my first year in my chise. then, once the full minors are out, I start my RTTS and my 2nd year in the franchise..

using my, these will get me by rosters until the Full Minors come out. I have 7 prospects for each team. Started my "feeler" chise with my Red sox (because when i start a real one i like to take a bad team and make them good.) and play through a season or two. i sim a lot of games, i like playing through seasons

Re: What are you doing to kill the time before you start your REAL franchise?

I started up this big 64-man HR Derby bracket lol (gives MLB the Show kinda a March Madness feel lol). I took the top 64 homerun hitters from last year, and hit it up bracket style to see who's gonna be the MLB 10 the Show Homerun King! haha

Here's kinda some rules I laid down for this:
                  1) The 64 players are placed into 8 homerun derby groups of 8 people in each.
                  2) The 4 players with the most homeruns in each group move on to the next round, until the 'Championship Round' of course, when there will only be one winner.
                  3) In the first round, the highest ranked (most homeruns from last year) player is the 'host' in each group, so that round will be played in his ballpark.
                  4) In the Quarterfinals (2nd Round), the player who hit the most homeruns in round 1 will be the 'host' of his quarterfinal group. (Tiebreaker is most 2009 homeruns to determine host)
                  5) 3 Teams have no representatives in the top 64 players (Atlanta, Kansas City, and Pittsburgh). These 3 stadiums will be used for the 2 semifinal groups and the championship group. Atlanta will be the host of the championship bracket since it is the toughest of those 3 parks to hit a homerun in. Kansas City and Pittsburgh will each host a semifinal group.
                  6) In each the 1st round, quarterfinal, and semifinal rounds players will have 5 outs in each round to hit as many homeruns as they can. In the finals, each player will have 10 outs in each round to hit as many homeruns as they can. (This is mainly so it won't take me a very long time to do this).
