Re: MLB '10: The Show Rosters: OS Full Minors V.1

I think it's good that you guys are getting this out in the open. Myself included, there were plenty of others that were willing to help with the rosters (with the "grunt" work). I think it is EXTREMELY important that when you guys do the rosters, each teammate only work on one aspect of the roster file at once. I don't know if there are others that would feel the same that I do, but I'm not 100% comfortable with say KSig doing one team's rosters and then Knight and/or Ridin doing another team's. It's not that you guys don't know what you're doing. You have proven that you are good at what you do, and believe me, we appreciate it. It's just that when 2 people are using their own subjectivity to work on the same task that someone else is, it creates an uneven playing field, so to speak.

What I was going to ask Knight last week was if it would be in everyone's best interest to figure out what time of day everyone should be assigned to their specific task. In other words, just like shifts. Is this what you guys did or did Knight just pass the set off to Ridin or KSig when he wasn't able to work on them? I guess it's none of my business, as I didn't work on them. I'm just kind of curious as to how you guys set up the taskwork.

It sounds like you aren't a good hitter on this game. I can hit dozens of HRs with these minor league players if their power is around 40 or above.

Along with the fact that you are simming with bad results as well, it sounds like you may need to try new sliders: They have more to do with HR statistics than Rosters.

What difficulty do you play on?

I have had no problems with power playing or simming with these rosters....simming seasons I have had Triple A level players with 30-35 hrs and double A with 25-30'''as for playing......i have hit 2 hrs in minor league games with aa players..so I dont know what his problem is ...I also have about a dozen friends playing with no problems so....

^well has anyone simmed ahead maybe 4 or 5 seasons? are there guys coming out of the minors that are hitting 40+ homers in the majors in 2014? cause thats the goal right? (to have certain prospects rise up and replace the old/current guys?)

(fyi im not implying anything-i just want to know haha)

Downloaded Knight's roster, and there are a limited number of fake A potential position players in free agency. There isn't 1 at every position, but some positions have 2. You should be able to edit 1 of them into B harper.

I have been thinking that same question. If the guys are hitting for solid stats now on the farm like ksig said, and the star kids can become star pros- thats good to me. I haven't tested this myself, if others can state one way or the other.

Would it be possible to update the first post with the order things are going to be addressed in future versions? I don't know if strut has the file now, what is next, or anything. Thanks

Personally, these rosters attributes are way off. First off, ksig is correct. I have played about 30 AAA/AA games in my Cubs franchise and I have hit one homerun, and it was by Xavier Nady who was coming off an injury. The players have no shot at ever being any good and these rosters completely remind me of ridins last year. I preferred Knights last year but these have some good attributes, like the top prospects but others are way off. Just the truth and how I feel.

Quick note, in game, Cliff Pennington (A's SS) is #26, he is #2 in real life. Thanks.

Strut's fixing some numbers as he does stances/motions.
If not...I'll get to them when I get to finishing up adjusting the rest of the teams.

So, as far as the Joe Crede on the White Sox thing, are we going to get a list of players that were used as fillers?

As a diehard Red Sox fan who watches every game, may I suggest two pitching delivery edits?

Daniel Bard should have Generic 62. He keeps his arms tightly pulled into his chest before he pitches to generate that explosive power, and he keeps his head and shoulders very straight during his delivery, which scouts attributed his improved control in the minors (he never would have made it to the MLB without this technique). 62 has all these features, plus the compact knee kick.

The custom Bard delivery currently used in the roster has Bard flailing about... true, this is how he USED to pitch in the minors... but he straightened out since then, and as I said, this was part of his ascent.

Clay Buchholz should, in my opinion, have Rich Harden's delivery. He keeps his hands down around his abdomen prior to delivery, kicks his knee very high, then throws his whole body into it. If you change his delivery to Harden and play a game, you'll see he throws the four-seamer overhand so that it looks like it's going straight down when it enters the zone... the arm motion looks exactly like his real life stance.

Idk, I see his point. In 5 AA games I had zero homers. I know AA homers happen sometimes! I hit an average of 2 HR's per game in an MLB game. I'm also 61-11 against the CPU, so I don't think I suck?

Just wanted to offer some additional feedback, for variety's sake.
