I can share what he threw in his debut last night:

2-seam @ 96mph
4-seam @ 95mph
slider @ 87mph
curve @ 81mph
change @ 89mph

I tracked 15 pitches that LOOKED like a cutter @ 96...but Thorne, Palmer and the Baseball America 2010 Prospect Handbook did not make mention of this pitch...it's possible he does throw one though

they will be added next monday, there is a cutoff date during the week (i've heard thursday) that if a player plays after that date, they will be pushed back two updates as opposed to the following monday from that date

That's a good question. There really has never been much consistency on whether a player is added to an online update or not.

It seems to me that most fielders making their debut are added sooner than pitchers in terms of the weekly SCEA's roster release history ('09-'10). This is not fact, just my opinion. Currently, several clubs already have 40 man rosters with everybody an actual player (some clubs still have non-editable developers representing players.) I'm not sure if the issue sometimes becomes releasing a player still in the organization for a player that just made their debut.

The only thing I actually understand is that the weekly updates are intended mainly for online play with the secondary benefit to download and save for offline play. Also, each and every team will never have more than 40 real players in it's organization. Players will be removed to add others OR no moves will be made if a specific teams roster is at 40 real players.
