Did a few guys like them get deleted in version 2?
Yes...some guys did get the boot so to say.
Miller was just a victim of me actually missing the KC position players.
I'm actually updating K.C. right now. I already did the Baltimore OF'ers who I also missed.
Sorry about that....it's from carting the set back and forth...home to work and back.....and I probably tagged a save OSv2KC and thought I finished them...when it was only the pitchers I did.
With Miller...I just noticed that David Wood(1B) for them is not playing this season...so I could take him or someone else and create Miller.

As far as faces....I guess it's going to come down to personal preference. I had done all the faces of the top 10 players for each team....but guys wanted Mr. Franchise to update them. Some like his...some like mine......6 or 1/2 dozen the other.......yes I tend to lessen the extremes on face features...while some face guys like to accentuate the features. It's their style. Looks good in game. You will definitely be able to tell the difference on a face I did compared to someone else in the set though.

Well you also have Vance Wilson (Catcher) and Damon Hollins (LF) as custom players on the Royals and neither of them are still there. You can always change Hollins into Jai Miller and then change Vance Wilson to Salvador Perez who is currently doing a really good job in the Royals High-A class. Plus Perez was already named 1 of the best defensive players in the Royals organization. (Perez is a Catcher by the way)

Just a little heads up incase you arent sure what you planned for them.

Knight I'll try to swing the v3 set to you sometime before it's released so you can make the changes on this set too. I'm off to start working on the AL West (just got back from work). I'll update at the end of the night.

Re: MLB '10: The Show Rosters: OS Full Minors V.2

LF Tyler Colvin from the Chicago Cubs needs some love.

I understand that the Cubs aren't playing that great, but Colvin is hitting .306 (3rd Highest on team) with 5 Home runs (5th most on team) and 13 RBIs (8th most on team) while being limited to only 72 At Bats (10th most on the team, most by players on bench).

In your rosters he is barely good enough for AAA.

I love these rosters and have absolutely 0 problems with any other ratings on the game but Colvin is being cheated. every game that we are actually ahead in around the 7th inning he is subbed in for Alfonso Soriano regardless of batting order as a fielding specialist at LF and he is a spot starter at all outfield positions.

Keep up the good work guys, I just wanted to bring attention to a player who is getting overlooked.

A guy like Colvin (Matt Diaz last year) will see some love in V4. how much Im not sure based on limited exposure. Pro-rate those numbers over 600 AB's hes probably one of the better rated players in the game (Garrett Jones was an example like this last year, he was rated by the DB as a .300+ hitter which we know he isnt). I dont think hes that good but Ive only seen him play a handful of times and has alot of good press so far. Where do you think he'll be given a full year after adjustments by pitchers and his adjustments .260 - 20, better, worse?

I sent the following to CHD in PM form, but my hunch is that he's super busy, so I post it here in case anyone might know the answer.

I read in the main forums that there's an issue with the base roster putting too many high potential FA in the market in subsequent seasons--is this an actual "problem," that persists in this roster too, or is it the kind of thing where there's an easy workaround or minimal effect?

                    Thanks in advance!

                    TM

Hey dude, if you want to release a version with up-to-date roster moves after V4 comes out, assuming it was okay with Knight and everyone who put in a ton of work... I'd be all for it.

Unfortunately transactions in this game are not always easy to pull off since you don't just have complete control over the rosters. It comes across as presumptuous that anyone could just hop, jump, skip to it, and make all these changes.

If you're up to the task, as I said, maybe the team would have you on board to update the rosters after all versions are done? It would be very difficult and taxing, but I'm sure some OS members would appreciate the effort?

sfg I think your posts are very helpful, but you need to stay confined to those players Knight created that need some work. The rosters are opening day rosters and so recent transactions won't be done. There is a little too much you are pointing out... I would narrow it down to a few things you really noticed were missing.

I believe that Colvin, with regular playing time this season, would be a top 15 outfielder when it comes to offensive production. My view on this has nothing to do with his stats so far in his limited playing time, either.
