I've been using the same formulas for the last 3 years or so. I think I posted them on one of the old All Time roster threads. The stats are usually really close, makes the game so much more realistic.

Wow, that's nuts how close some of the stats are. Henderson's 85 SB bases close to what he did, Rueshal's 111 Ks, spot on. Tettleton spot on with the HRs. Sick man!

I have GOT to find the thread you posted your formulas in. Sick, indeed! Looks like Magrane fell upon some hard luck with the W-L, but man do all those numbers look good!

So all of the pitchers repertoire was from the James/Neyers book. Others info taken from baseball cards etc. Everything else is taken from baseball reference.com, lot of detailed info there.

Here's a link on all of the formulas I use. I'm sure they're based off of what others have tried, can't really remember where they originally came from, but I tweaked them to my liking. They work pretty well though.

Finally finished the season, ended up sweeping the Giants in four games, just like it happened in '89. Mike LaCoss held me down through the first 7 innings. Giants were up 4-2 going into the bottom of the 8th. McGwire drew a walk, and an out later Dave Henderson launched a two run ding dong off of Jeff Brantley to tie it. Kevin Mitchell knocked in Donell Nixon in the top of the ninth to give them back the lead. Steve Bedrosian came in to close it out, but Canseco drew a one out walk. Dave Parker then doubled Canseco in to tie it. With two outs Parker on third, McGwire on first, Dave Henderson drilled a two out single to right to win the game. Pretty fun way to end it.

Going to bring this thread back from the dead for '17.

So I'm hoping to have an updated 25 man 1989 rosters in the vault tomorrow. Everything is ready to go except for re adjusting players ages to what they were in '89. When they're ready to go I'll give a full rundown for whats been added.
