With Real Life you get what the Pitcher actually throws according to your roster, and that means if he throws only two pitches--that is what you get. Choosing Game means your pitchers have at least 3 different pitches even if they throw just two in real life.

Actually, I think "Game" gives them 4 pitches minimum, and "Real Life" is whatever they really have on your roster. I'm pretty sure pitchers can't be given less than 3 pitches in this game, though. I remember trying to set a reliever to only have a fastball/change in the editor, but it forced me to give him a third pitch.

That's not a good way to direct someone. For instance, I have 18 pages due to my account settings. Just an FYI.

Can one of the roster workers (Knight, etc) look into Gavin Floyd? He never fully recovers after 5 days after a start (energy is always at about 80-90%).

This is using Knight's 4.1 roster.

I don't understand the stamina edits. There are so many pitchers who have absolutely zero stamina. How can a middle reliever or a set up man have less stamina than a closer?

And Andrew McCutchen's fielding is basically all the way up. He is not a polished fielder by any means.

                Two choices.

First one is the easiest. If you have your PS3 set up for the internet....start your game...go to the SPORTSCONNECT section and connect.
Go to the ROSTER VAULT section and find the set you want to use.
                Download it and SAVE it.
Now if you want to play exhibition game with them...LOAD the roster first...
If it's season/franchise...it will prompt you on which rosters to use...you would load them there.

If you don't have your PS3 hooked up...you can download the files to a USB drive from the links provided.
                Then you

1.Unzip the zipped folder you downloaded(either with WinZip(free trial) or another zip/unzip program...Windows may have it's own, I'm not sure)
-You will now see a folder on the drive...make sure it's like this....
PS3/SAVEDATA/BCUS494833048(the numbers are made up...it's a BCUS folder within the SAVEDATA folder) In some cases the person uploading the files may not include the PS3 folder or the SAVEDATA one....or the program you use to unzip adds an extra one.
The important thing is one BCUS folder inside a SAVEDATA folder inside a PS3 folder....if one is missing you can simply create it on your PC and move the folders inside it...or if there is an extra....just drag the other folders out of it.

Now....start your PS3(with the USB drive in it)....and quit out of the game to the front screen you see when there is no game in.(the XMB or the Cross Media Bar)....go to the GAME section...then go up a bit to the PS3 section(not the PS3 mini) and hit X....locate your USB drive on there and hit X....you will now see the roster save. Highlight it and hit TRIANGLE and choose COPY. It will copy to your HDD.

Now you simply start the game and LOAD the roster as stated above.
Let me know if you need any more help.

                  I don't know about Cutch....

but if you play a lot....the reliever stamina(from an SCEA standpoint) is a slight sore point with sim guys. Anything higher than 10 and the guy can pitch 3 innings on multiple nights. To get a real lefty specialist is nearly impossible. Part of it is the durability attribute also(letting the player rest very easily...causing the RP's to pitch over 100 games.)
My personal edit for most relievers who don't pitch more than 2 innings ever...is 8 with a durability of 40-50.

Atlanta Braves 5th Starter is missing from update.

                    Mike Minor B:R T:L 6'3 210 #56 22 years old.

                    best pitches in order:

                    4 seamer
                    2 seamer
                    curve
                    change
                    slider

with alot of roster moves in ATL and with Derek Lee trade, i figure this needs to get right seeming hes not even on game and they are leading NL east

experiencing a weird glitch with this franchise file. each time I play baltimore the during the 1st inning sub out Luke Scott. he's not injured and he's in the starting lineup and then as soon as they get on the field for defense (so top of the 1st at home - bottom of the 1st on the road) they take off Luke Scott. Why is this happening? I checked their box scores and they only do this when I play them; not vs CPU during simulations.

Whatever position the LINEUP screen has Scott playing in....he doesn't have rated as either a PRIMARY or SECONDARY position in the editor.
You either have to switch the lineup to reflect a position he's rated for or change his positions to reflect where he's playing in those lineups.

I mean no disrespect. But how does Fausto Carmona not have a fastball with this roster? He throws a 94-97 fastball. I know his sinker is his best pitch. But he does have a fastball.

He was probably given another pitch that is used like a fastball with movement. That's the key to the pitch changes. You won't see many pitchers with the 4 seamer, but maybe sinkers, 2sfb, rfb, or cutter.
