Does anyone have any re-rates for rookies pitchers? Like Mike Minor, Brandon Beachy, Zach Britton guys along these lines?

Re: 2011 OSFM Pitch Edits
wow so still not really happy with how some of these things turned out with the edits...still finding stuff I missed...feel like I just did another 50 players...sorry to keep coming out with updates but I will soon send one of you guys another file to upload for me...
did a lot of work on baltimore's staff, atlanta (jurrjens/lowe) that i can rememer...much much more including minor re-rates here and there...obviously I felt Travis Wood was rated a little low but I'm leaning him closer to stock as of now...he wasn't over powering in AAA, slow developer, but we've also heard comparisons to Cliff Lee...idk..took care of more relievers as well...Comment

Re: 2011 OSFM Pitch Edits
Ok, I thought I would give it a try and create some pitch edits for this year. I really enjoyed them in the past and I think a lot of follow gamers would agree.
So far, I have done the A.L. East. I am using Fangraphs, Texas Leaguer, 60ft.6', and some of Razr's edits from last year. Texas Leaguer is good because it tells the difference between a 2 seam fastball and a sinker.
60Ft6' is good because it helps me know what type of curve a pitcher throws and whether a pitcher has a change up or circle change. If I am not sure, I will google the pitcher and pitch to see if I can get more info.
Feedback is welcome, just don't be too harsh. :-) It took me 4 days to finish the A.L. East so it will take me about 1-2 weeks to finish the rest.
The stock rosters are better than last year but there are still a lot of pitchers without the correct pitches or pitches they don't really throw.
Let me know what you guys think.Attached FilesComment

Re: 2011 OSFM Pitch Edits
Wow, I can't believe I forgot 2 of the better pitchers on the Red Sox. LOL.. Maybe being a Yankee fan my subconscience blacked them out.. I will add them.
As for Romero, I will increase his control, it is too low.
I am numbering the pitches based on my many times they use it. So far, according to the pitch FX, he has only thrown 74 curves, compared to 273 2 seams and 249 4 seam fastballs.
Thank you for the feedback. It's encouraging. I finished the White Sox and Indians last night and I am hoping to finish the A.L. Central today.Comment

Re: 2011 OSFM Pitch Edits
yea no problem, i have tried doing what your doing but its definetly a lot of work, and just didnt have time or the will to finish. so it is great of you (and everyone else for that matter) who acctually do, do these re-edits. also not sure if you are aware or if you have it but on mlb.com they have the gameday thing all set up with pretty good measurments of velocity and movement on all pitches. not sure if that would help out at all.
ps. your also missing mariano rivera...as a yankees fan that is inexcusable haha jkLast edited by nmazz; 05-14-2011, 01:49 PM.Comment

Re: 2011 OSFM Pitch Edits
You are so correct, it is a lot of work. LOL..
I left Mariano Rivera off the list because I didn't edit his pitches. They are the same as what he throws in real life. I would have only given him 2 pitches but the game will not let a pitcher only throw 2 pitches, he has to have 3.
Same thing with Papelboun. His default pitches are what he throws in real life.
If I leave a pitcher off the list it's becasue he is in the minors and does not have a FX profile yet.Comment

Re: 2011 OSFM Pitch Edits
Putting the edits on a spreadsheet because I like to do my own rosters. For some strange reason, I seem to enjoy it even though it takes a lot of time.
Hoping to have all teams edited by next weekend. Working on A.L. Central as we speak.Comment

No, I am using Texas Leaguer pitch FX, Fangraphs FX, and 60ft6'. Also have Razr's edits from last year.

Re: 2011 OSFM Pitch Edits
I am working off the first sony update which I believe was April 7th.
I like to edit my own rosters. If I need to add players I use Knight's opening day roster.
I find it easier to put the pitch edits in a spreadsheet so that way others can use them in their own sets.
I am almost finished with the Americam League. Just have to finish the Mariners and edit the Rangers. I will post the A.L. tomorrow night if anyone is interested.Comment
