Re: MLB 11 The Show - Operation Sports Full Minors 2011 (Spring Training Version)
Interesting.
I'm going to check this out further.
When did you give those guys the injuries....pre-season or after the season started?
I can't remember if I did mine on the dates...or day 1 of the regular season(I'm thinking regular season for some reason)

Knight, I was just curious if you were going to change the potentials around for some of the players? I've noticed that there are a few career minor leaguers or AAAA players that have 'A' potential. For intance, Sean Kazmar, and Louis Rodriguez of the Mariners. That potential could be used on a true prospect such as Phillips Castillo, James Paxton, Taijuan Walker, ect. Just curious.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show - Operation Sports Full Minors 2011 (Spring Training Version)
I had taken the time to manually add the 15 players back to the 40 man roster using Hustlin's roster from the vault. I then had taken the time to manually injure the players listed on the first page.
I then saved everything one last time and started my franchise (treating it like the franchise files we were able to download and use in last season's game). I had to do an in-game save and unfortunately the in-game save automatically over-writes the file for the season. So, for those who are still working on your rosters using Knight's and Hustlin's work, make sure you actually have two files saved: 1) the file from opening day with the 40 man and injuries set and 2) the file in which you will run your franchise from.
So now I'm just going to wait for the opening day set and will make sure I save it in two files.Comment

Rangers sign RP Manny Corpas to a minor league deal, though it's said he won't pitch this season.

Re: MLB 11 The Show - Operation Sports Full Minors 2011 (Spring Training Version)
Knight,
I suggest importing Timpner (use create a player as he is 27 and he has an SCEA face in the game) over Plagman. I have his CAP based on Zips Projections as 55, 32, 38, 10, 30, 20, 56, 53, 40, 70, 80, 50, 50, 50, 50, 0, 45, 20.
I also suggest creating Bryan Pounds over Jordan Lennerton. I have for Bryan's CAP 37, 47, 32, 46, 15, 10, 17, 63, 40, 65, 30, 45, 45, 45, 45, 0, 40, 5.
With these changes the minor league roster will include all the AAA and AA position players.
However, this all comes later. Enjoy your anniversary!

Billy Alvino was called up as a catcher since two at the AAA level are not available, but he is not really a prospect so I see no need to include him.

Journeyman Gabe Kapler was also cut from the 25-man roster; however, Mattingly said Kapler is still in talks with general manager Ned Coletti about playing in Albuquerque.
"He is such a guy that you love," Mattingly said of Kapler. "We have looked at so many different scenarios where he was a part of the team. Gabe is just the type of guy that does everything right. You know you are getting 100 percent every day, so it was tough."
This was the last thing I could find on him on the Dodger website [March 31st]. Obviously he is not on the AAA roster right now, it has been a week so I assume that he was released.Comment
