bhrangerfan0809 - thank you so much for your hard work. i truly appreciate this. i went out and got a cheap copy of MLB 10 because of these rosters and I am really enjoying the game with them. i rented MLB 12 and felt almost identical to 2010 and 2011 so the rosters are really useful, hope you keep updating them. truly awesome job man. thank you so much!

Question related to franchise before I transfer these tonight to my PS3 though :

Earlier you mentioned the rosters are geared towards exhibition, etc when someone asked about 2012 franchise.

My question is : can't I just use them in the 2010 season "as is" in franchise mode or will the wacky trades etc take place before the regular season of 2010? Long story short : can i plug in your rosters, then go to 2010 season and have them remain in tact? I am not concerned with advancing to 2012.....

The roster is AMAZING! I've been playing non-stop. My only qualm is this: Does anyone know where Griffey is in the game? I'm unable to find him in the FA pool or any single, double, or triple-A team with other retired players. Thanks, in advance. Hopefully there are more KG Jr. fans out there looking for a bit of nostalgia with 2012 rosters.

Temporarily, I think. You might have to turn off CPU trades and FA signings though

Hey guys, just checking in to say that you all can expect an updated roster sometime this weekend.

That is great news! What will the new version of the rosters include?
Only thing i've been noticing is a couple of players are on the wrong team (Manny is on the Rays but he is in the A's now, Carlos Guillen is on the Tigers and he was on the Mariners but retired this spring, Damon is on the Rays but he is a FA, Vlad Guerrero is on the Orioles but he is a FA).
I noticed many jersey numbers are off but I understand that is a very hard thing to keep track of and it's not a big deal anyways.

I'm having a blast with the rosters (don't even need mlb 11 or 12 now) and can't wait for the next update and all the updates you make to the rosters. You did an awesome job, thank you!

Thanks! The reason why many retired players are left on their old teams (all should be moved to single-A) is because there is limited space on the free agents list to put retired players. Since each transaction requires a team to lose a player for every player gained, I have to swap the retired player with another player in the FA list, which would be tough considering there's only a handful of fake players (like the Q.Q. players) that I could switch them with and turn into players that actually play for the team.

Right. I can imagine how much work these are man, I know I used to do MVP rosters back in the day A good idea would be getting any generic A, AA, AAA to The 40-Man Roster of the team so the older retired player stays in that organization's A, AA or AAA team. For example Carlos Guillen retired from the Mariners so he can be on their A,AA,AAA team as a filler player there.

Some of the old players are being signed by other teams though. Manny is with A's, Johnny Damon just signed with the Indians too.

Will there be further updates geared more towards playing seasons along the way? I just ask because I was trying to play with the Mariners and there are a lot of Q. Q. Players on their roster and the young arms they have coming up through the farm system that are not in there. Just wondering. Thanks

Yes, it'll be a continual process. I'm going through each team right now and removing the players that are listed as being in the minors but aren't in actuality, and then after that phase, I will go through and fill out some of the QQ players with help from my trusty Baseball America Prospect Handbook 2012.
