I think the original idea for the 40 man was so that there wouldn't be any complaining about who should be on the top 25. (for example the York/Lemon idea) I started the 25 man idea just because the 40 man idea was stuck in neutral. If you want someone else on your roster, just trade them in for the player you want. The 40 man should have just about anyone you would want to play with from each team. I'm personally going to start playing a season when I have the 25 guys I want on each team (w/ injuries off). We'll release a 25 man set when it's finished, and then the final roster will be the 40 man one.

Works for me.

Personally, I think a 40-man roster is kind of pointless with these. I mean, I see the point somewhat, but when I think of all-time rosters I usually turn injuries off and just play with the top 25 men for a season or exhibition. I don't really care about giving the 39th and 40th man a couple of innings in September.

Well ok, I guess if I have any disagreements once the 25man comes out then I could just make a Newhouser/Lemon/etc. if I didnt agree.

Looking at the spreadsheet, the 25man only looks 2-3 weeks away!

It is a very wise to go with a 25 man roster. During the off season Nov - Feb I'll use the 40 man. It works for me.

Hey everyone, I've been really busy lately so I haven't had the chance to work on pitch edits. I'll get around to doing them sometime soon. Great to see you guys are still working hard on this roster, can't wait to play with them.

How close to being done is the 25 man roster? Also, I'd recommend using the pitch edits in the google doc for editing pitchers.

I hope you gave Dunston a cannon - that dude's arm was quite impressive.

I'm replaying the '64 season with Stratomatic and Fregosi has become one of my favorites.

I raised Dunston's arm strength to 99, I remember people saying he had a better arm than Gooden when they were drafted.
