Re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2012 Roster - Spring Training Edition Available Now

Downloaded the rosters just as they released. Finally got around to finishing 2 games. Just finished the second one. Still in ST as the Cubs. 1-1 so far.

LOVE the rosters yall. Knight, Ridin, and the whole crew. You guys are awesome. I know how hard this is to do.(tried a few times for Madden 10 and kept giving up after doing about 10 teams)

Side note: Is it just me or does every Cubs pitcher throw in the mid to high 90s? Are we really just THAT loaded with fireballers?? Not that I'm complaining...but still.

Keep up the awesome work guys. I don't necessarily require the updated rosters(Cubs fan..all I need is the named minors..so much suck in the MLB level for us). However, as always, I will download each and every update and use them all.

Do yourself a favor and play a Rainiers vs Generals exhibition. It is just eerie... Everything from the faces to the gear to the swings is as accurate as humanly possible.

Maybe its just cause I did all the research on em but happiness is a guillermo pimentel double off the wall to clear the bases.

Worst roster ever :-) The Orioles were pitching a perfect game against me into the 9th when I finally got a hit.

In all seriousness, thank you all for your hard work. It is truly appreciated!

From what I heard, players with B potentials will basically be worthless for years to come unless they are rated a little higher than they usually are.

If there's a stat simulation thread, can someone post a link? If there's not, someone should create one.
Yea, I see your point. After running a 2 yr sim it wasn't as bad as I thought. It was just a handful of guy seemed to be a year or two ahead of schedule. It's kinda stupid that the marginal value between A & B is so much.

I didnt know only top 100's were the A's. Thats fine, I was just pointing out that they were highly regarded picks last year. The brewers are rated highly, I was just trying to find common ground and find reason into the ratings. I reviewed, reviewed, and reviewed some more until I came to the final conclusions that Baez, Marte (Starling), Lee (Hak-Ju) and Schoop should be A potentials.

I want to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication to the project. Not one of you goes without recognition.

I think that it is also very important that we keep the criticism constructive and works towards the v2 release where everything is touched up.

Anyone has any prospect questions or potential ratings questions, feel free to ask.
I'm sure you know but just so people don't get confused. v2 is gonna be the equipment, stance & motion edits. I guess the OD release is serving as v1 and this is .5?

BTW, I'd wake up the baby to show him/her how filthy Taijuan Walker is. lol might cause nightmares.

How many sim's did you guys run and for how many years? I haven't ran one yet with these rosters but just with my experiance in tuning the ratings for the M's it seems like there's alot of 2010/11 draft picks that are still a few years away from the majors that would be peaking 3 years into a franchise.

I'll run a sim and post results but thats just from glancing over the rosters. Since it seems like there's alot of high potential guys could I recreate a couple guys for the M's? (depending on how this sim works)

Overall, great work by everyone. It's kinda funny seeing how people do faces. Some guys round the facial features, others emphasis any little thing.
Once ksig dropped out.....I couldn't really have guys wondering. I know a few of you guys were shooting it back and forth....but there was no choice but to have guys make decisions. I think you'll see with the toned down progression....these play out nicely.

He is a C in the set.

But I have a question, I'm starting a Franchise with the Braves. How do i get Chipper Jones back on the lineup??
For some reason he's nowhere to be found on the bench or lineup...

ANy help to add again injured players would be appreciated.
                            Chipper's in there for sure.

Szczur should be a B. Vitters could go a B or C. I'd still give him a B seeing as he is so young but I won't fret too much over it.

DeVoss should be on the roster. IMO he's their best 2B prospect. I liek him more than most and would give him a B. But he should at least be ont he roster and at least be a C.

Choice and AJ Cole are a tad high.

Middlebrook(s) - @ 25 is one of the better 3bs. - His name is spelled wrong.
Bogaerts and Ranaudo could probably be tuned down some. Ranaudo is already a #3 starter ratings wise, that should be his upside during his peak yrs.

SD- Perfect. I think rags did them, props to him, OVR to age to POT is perfect.

COL- Arenado is a bit high, I'd say he's a yr ahead of where he should be.

PIT- Taillon is their 4th best starter. As good as he is, I can't see him going from low A to the bigs in 2 yrs. Him and Cole have virtually = OVRs.

MIL- Its was pointed out earlier but the Brewers are on track to have 6 cy young contenders.

CIN- Billy Hamilton is one of the better SS already (at age 23). Should probably be tuned down, he might be MLB ready but not elite to start 2014.

WAS- Rendon is still a yr or two away from being a starting caliber 3b.

TEX- Kills me to say it but Profar could probably use a bump. He's still a yr or 2 away.

                            OTHER
Lindor, Starling is MLB ready @ 21. Can see it with Lindor but not Starling.

This sim was for two yrs.

Kinght/Ridin- I could keep doing these, I'm sure you guys are still testing. It's up to you whether you want my feedback

What I suggest people do if they want to play with edits, specifically pitching is to dl the attachment in the thread titled pitch edits and first edit the team you are controlling then as you play your schedule edit the pitchers of your next opponent. It really only takes like 15 minutes or so. This way you dont have to do them all at once or for every team. Just yours and the one you will play. The edits really make a world of difference

Is there a quick way to change the potential on a guy?
