Re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2012 Roster - Opening Day Edition Available Now
apologize if this is stated somewhere, but were there any cosmetic updates (stance, pitching motions, accessories) made in the OSFM Opening Day roster released yesterday? I see there are a few other cosmetic threads in the roster forum but it seems to me they are all taking Knights rosters and adding to it.Last edited by mjsthebest; 04-12-2012, 10:41 AM.Comment

Well that's good to hear. I was under the impression for some reason that no cosmetic edits were being made to the stock players in this version. I was holding out for RunAndShoots cosmetic edits but I don't know if they are going to add all of their edits to Owl's 25 man OSFM roster, and I really don't want to take more time than I have to making the lineups/rotations stick.Comment

Re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2012 Roster - Opening Day Edition Available Now
Budget question regarding the roster--- witht the default roster, when I start a Franchise with the Indians, it gives me a budget of 90M. When I use the OSFM roster, my budget is 115M. So by adding/subtracting players before you start the Franchise, you can change your budget number when you start a new one? I'm confused...Comment

Re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2012 Roster - Opening Day Edition Available Now
im pretty sure this has been asked already but...when using 30-team control and simming to the last day before the end of ST, does it matter if u send the 15 players to AAA, AA, or A? will the CPU know what to do with the extra guys once they're in the minors and form some sort of lineup and rotation for each team?
Also, Asdrubal Cabrera's contract is quite scary lolLast edited by 37; 04-12-2012, 11:49 AM.Steelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

I hope this doesn't come off ungrateful but I think you guys should release a franchise file with everything done up to Opening Day because the thread is going to continue to get cluttered with questions about why lineups are changing and why pitching rotations are changing.
I hate suggesting that you guys should do even more work after what great work you do for the MLB The Show community but it must be frustrating for you to see every other post complain about lineup and pitching rotation changes.
If you released a franchise file I think everyone can just download that and the questioning would stop, to an extent.
Just a suggestion.Comment

Re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2012 Roster - Opening Day Edition Available Now
under single team control, if i sign a player how come i cant trade him to another team, regardless if ignore budgets and force trades are on?
im playing single team with the yankees and i have force trades, instant trades, and ignore budgets on. this was my "hack" to update my franchise rosters without having to control all 30 teams. So i just signed Damon and want to trade him to Cleveland but it wont let me
It says "This trade will likely be rejected because one or more players were recently signed as free agents"... WTF?any ideas why? is this a bug?
Correct. Also what happens IRL.....almost all players are placed on waivers in order to facilitate trades.

I think it has something to do with the Asdrubal Cabrera contract. When he signed his extension, the guys upped the value of it to be more like his real deal. I'm sure altering the contracts for certain guys in general have adjusted the team budgets overall in franchise mode.

Yeah Hustlin' did make his 25-man (and I'm sure he did a great job like always, I used his last year) but people are apparently still having trouble with his even as far as lineups/pitching rotations are concerned.
Again, this isn't something you guys need to do. It's just a suggestion because I think you'll quickly get tired of all the comments about lineup/rotation changes (and I won't blame ya.)Comment

Re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2012 Roster - Opening Day Edition Available Now
Just for some info, I did a quick franchise check and noticed that lineups weren't sticking in my franchise after downloading Hustlin Owl's 25-man rosters from the vault. I checked over all of the 40-man rosters an found that the Seattle Mariners contained only 23 players, while the other 29 teams were all correct.
I assume the CPU was filling the opening day roster spots after spring training, even though I technically told it "not to" by controlling all 30 teams. With the default Hustlin Owl rosters (04-11), Seattle calls up and starts Chih-Hsien Chiang in CF over Michael Saunders and does some minor lineup shuffling.
The two players missing are 3B Alex Liddi and SP Erasmo Ramierez.
This is nothing earth-shattering, but it is something I noticed. Thank you to Knight, Ridin, strut24, HustlinOwl, and all the others who absolutely take this game to the next level for me and so many others.Looking for friends on PSN. PM me your PSN if you want to become friendsComment

To piggy back on this...
The Mariners issue aside, the rotations arent sticking, as soon as you advance to the regular season the CPU is changing the order as it sees fit, for example Beckett goes to no.1 for Bos, Lester down to no.3 etc.
Also for teams where only 4 starters are listed (around 4/5 i think) the CPU is doing some odd things, such as in Oakland Brian Fuentes is getting moved into the rotation and as the Opening Day starter no less! lol
Hustlin, any idea whats causing this/anything we can do to stop it jumbling all the perfectly set rotations?
I havent even checked the lineups, it may be jumbling them too, worth checking.
Made 2 profiles. one for me and one for the other 29 teams. Made their's the default.
Set things like lineups, trades. rotations, waivers, injurie management, etc to MANUAL
In gameplay options set injuries to OFF. Did this b/c I read somewhere here (or at least think I did. All these discussion about lineups staying intact have got me confused) that CPU shuffles lineups to account for injured players coming off DL if injuries are on. I manually send people up and down when a real life injury happens myself. Example: say Wainwright has elbow soreness and STL puts him on 15 day DL. I just send him down to Triple A for 15 days and send say Shelby Miller up for 15 days. Played thru the first three weeks of regular season thus far and lineups are the same as they were when I plugged them in. Haven't added 15 players to teams yet either.
I was planning on asking The Show experts and insiders here if what I'm doing with profiles and injuries set to OFF will hold up with Hustlin's 25 man roster. Hope guys like Knight, Ridin'. Hustlin Owl, Authentic, etc could give me an answerLast edited by blueduke; 04-12-2012, 12:52 PM.Comment
