Re: Scott's OSFM ZiPS Re-rated Rosters

I know a lot of us are anticipating this release to start our franchises with, but unless we put together a team to create an OD version we will be waiting that much longer.

I know for a fact that there have been hundreds of moves in this set so it will be a long journey. I cant wait to start my franchise.

      Thoughts?

Re: Scott's OSFM ZiPS Re-rated Rosters

Here you guys go. Now that Soler signed with the Cubbies I can release a verbal on him.

Jorge Soler = a younger, better Cespedes.

        6'3 205
A true athlete with excellent professional baseball makeup. He has a chance to be a .280+ hitter with 30 HR pop. I grade his hit tool as above average to that .280 range only because its never been seen in pro ball. He rarely K's and has a knack for making barrelled contact.

He is a real competitor and a great fielder with a prototypical RF arm. The throws are extremely accurate and have tremendous carry without any loop.

A note about his power is that while his swing still doesnt generate natural loft ala Jason Heyward his bat speed makes up for how hard he hits the ball on a line. If he puts it together and learns the nuances of loft, he could become a serious power threat 35 HR+.

Being as big as he is he actually put up some nice running splits for us. He is graded as an above average runner with the same speed and doesnt seem that he will lose a step either. He wont steal many bases, but will run them well.

Lets see what OFAC and the MLB has to say about his defecting. He could demand some serious cheese.

              Hey Scott -

Can you please add Brian Goodwin to the Nationals farm system? He was a 1st round comp pick last year, and is one of the Nationals Top 5 prospects. The reason I mention him is because every roster that I've downloaded on here never includes him, while they have Rendon, Purke, and Meyer (our 3 other 1st round picks last year.)

              Thanks.

If you look in the roster I put out, there are caps of several guys who weren't included in the opening day OSFM. Goodwin is one of them, but I know there are a few for each team, as well as I lowered the potientials of guys like Ranuando who I didn't feel was a A spec. I'll try to come up with a list but there are literally hundreds of small changes like that.

Hey Scott keep up the excellent work my man. I just wanted to make sure that you got a few contracts switched. I noticed on the last update that most contracts were pretty accurate but there were still a couple that were off that I had to fix. I want to make sure that you get them fixed for the next update.

                        1. Asdrubal Cabrera. In the last update had that outrageous 5-6 years at about 23 million per year. He needs to be 2 years at around 16 million total. I actually got his contract on the first try with him so unless you switched his ratings drastically from last update he should be an easy one.

                        2. Alex Gordon. He had a 4-5 year at 14 million per. He needs to be 5 years at about 50 million total. I had to tweak his ratings some and it took me about 5 minutes on him.

Hey man do you think you can send me a list of guys you added so I can edit the appearances when I get done with the draft picks? I'd appreciate it.

Wow, I don't agree with any of these. A little harsh, no?

Does anyone really care where I sent this from?

Jose Fernandez MIA from B to A

In addition there are players like Josh Sale and Alex Colume who I exported from other rosters in there that weren't in the opening day set.
Hehe that's my Colome. I have a killer Jose Fernandez face with pitch edits, mind if I copy it over your A potential one?
