Easy fix but wanted to mention that Ike Davis needs to be a lefty in the field.

When I tried to get involved last time but instead spent hours on that spreadsheet to make your job easier, you didn't want to accept my help because you said you'd be done in a week. That was the first week of June. Perhaps if you had accepted my help back then, this thing would already be done.
Instead, you have left everyone with very shaky release dates, you complain that people don't respect you and your work, but then you don't respect us that are willing to help.
Most solo projects die. Roster editing is so time consuming that hardly anyone on here does it exclusively by themselves. Those that do either end up quitting on the project or quit roster editing entirely. Very few continue editing on your own.
Scott, you aren't being very specific with what all you have left. Are you just working on the minors? Or are you on the majors still?
My advice: if you don't see yourself being able to finish the project in a day or two, ask for some help. People have been waiting a long *** time for these. You have done great work. I'm just not convinced that someone else helping you out also wouldn't have done great work and that if you accepted help, this would have been finished a week ago.Comment

"Certain ways" can be explained to others. Roster editing isn't rocket science. You don't need a special degree to be able to do it

Re: Scott's OSFM ZiPS Re-rated Rosters
We should be grateful that he's doing this at all. He isn't obligated to do this, obviously. He could just do this for himself. And guys, it's a video game. A stupid good video game, but there's plenty of ways to kill time waiting for the rosters. Personally, I'm about to eat lunch and watch the Blue Jays play the Angels."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: Scott's OSFM ZiPS Re-rated Rosters
Haha that guy always goes off..thanks for doing this Scott, I understand what it's like to dedicate pretty much all of your free time to these rosters and all I'm doing is editing CAP apperances. I wouldn't be able to do what you're doing without going nuts. We appreciate your hard work.Comment

Re: Scott's OSFM ZiPS Re-rated Rosters
Your doing a great job Scott, you take your time because we have no reason to be impatient. You've done all this hard work so you can do what ever you want. We all can just patiently wait and watch baseball or family time or whatever. Just make this project the best you can and everyone will be thankfulComment

What pedestal exactly? Because as the poster above noted, what I said was well said and at not point did I take any personal shots at you like you just did with me.
Honestly, it is you that needs to get off your pedestal if you are unwilling to work with anyone else because of your "methods". If you were knocking out the roster in a few weeks, I could understand.
Quit making it personal, Scott.Last edited by TheGame8544; 06-30-2012, 12:33 PM.Comment

Anyway, whatever. Like you said, it is his roster to do with what he wants. Regardless of what I think about him personally, he is doing a great job on the file, and I'm sure the wait will be worth it.Comment

Look, if he doesn't want your help, then he doesn't want it. He doesn't have to let you help him. And you actually were fairly insulting, "Shaky release dates," stuff like that. I don't think Scott appreciated it."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
