Re: OSFM 2013: New York Mets
@jetropolitans You made an awesome Matthew Bowman. I guess his pitching style wasn't hard to figure out.
@metsfan4life1 I know you have been working hard and doing a great job creating our favorite team's prized prospects. I only ask you guys consider the need for left handed pitchers within the low level minor league and right handed OFersComment

I'm about to make a post updating the status of the organization on the OSFM roster. I'm gonna post suggestions of which guys we should create for the final 15~ spots but I would like everyone input on it your ideas are exactly what I have in mind. I'll post the status in a few minutesComment

Re: OSFM 2013: New York Mets
Just what Brian said guyssuggests will really help gage your interests in the players. Uploading Travis D volume 2! HUGE improvements to his face.. Looks much more like him than a character. His facial hair is as of yesterday. Looks so much better. Uploading him then the roster to the vault so Knight can get started on the double A guys!

Re: OSFM 2013: New York Mets
Assuming everyone is at full health this is how the OSFM roster breaksdown:
MLB
C John Buck
1B Ike Davis
2B Daniel Murphy
SS Ruben Tejada
3B David Wright
LF Lucas Duda
CF Jordany Valdespin
RF Marlon Byrd
Bench: Collin Cowgill OF, Jordany Valdespin OF, Justin Turner IF, Omar Quintanilla IF, Mike Baxter OF, Anthony Recker C
Starters
LHP Johan Santana
LHP Jon Niese
RHP Shaun Marcum
RHP Matt Harvey
RHP Dillon Gee
Bullpen
RHP Bobby Parnell
RHP Frank Francisco
LHP Tim Byrdak
RHP Brandon Lyon
LHP Josh Edgin
RHP LaTroy Hawkins
RHP Scott Atchison
------------------------------------------------------
Triple A
C Travis d'Arnaud
1B Josh Satin
2B Brian Bixler
SS Brandon Hicks
3B Zach Lutz
LF Andrew Brown
CF Matt Den Dekker
RF Kirk Nieuwenhuis
Bench: Corey Patterson OF, Jamie Hoffmann OF, Landon Powell C, 2 fake players
Starters
RHP Zack Wheeler
RHP Jeremy Hefner
RHP Jenrry Mejia
RHP Chris Schwinden
LHP Aaron Laffey
Bullpen
LHP Pedro Feliciano
RHP Carlos Torres
RHP Jeurys Familia
LHP Scott Rice
RHP Greg Burke
RHP Elvin Ramirez
LHP Justin Hampson
------------------------------------------------------
AA
C Kevin Plawecki
1B Aderlin Rodriguez
2B Reese Havens
SS Wilfredo Tovar
3B Wilmer Flores
LF Juan Lagares
CF Cesar Puello
RF Cory Vaughn
Bench: Phillip Evans IF, Danny Muno IF, Matt Reynolds IF, 2 fake players one being a backup catcher
Starters
RHP Rafael Montero
RHP Domingo Tapia
RHP Jacob DeGrom
LHP Darin Gorski
RHP Collin McHugh
Bullpen
LHP Jack Leathersich
LHP Robert Carson
and 5 fake players
------------------------------------------------------
A
Position players:
Brandon Nimmo CF
Gavin Cecchini SS
Starters:
RHP Luis Mateo
RHP Cory Mazzoni
RHP Michael Fulmer
RHP Noah Syndergaard
RHP Hansel Robles
RHP Gonzalez Germen
LHP Steven Matz
Relief pitchers:
RHP Matthew Bowman
and 5 fake players that can be any position player or pitcher
------------------------------------------------------
So the things that we must do to complete the roster:
- Create and rate the last two AAA bench players (I suggest Mike Wilson and Rhyne Hughes)
- Create and rate the last AA bench player (Eric Campbell IF perhaps? Althought we already have 3 bench players who are infielders. I am not sure who we should put here we should talk it out or let jetropolitans pick since he is the most informed!)
- Create and rate a backup catcher for AA (I suggest Juan Centeno)
- Create and rate the missing 5 AA bullpen players (I believe jetropolitans suggested RHP Brad Holt, RHP Armando Rodriguez, and RHP Greg Peavey. Preploco suggested RHP Hamilton Bennett and LHP Alex Panteliodis. LHP Adam Kolarek could also be a good option and would give us another lefty which is always nice)
- Create and rate the final 5 fake players for A. I would vote for that to be Alonzo Harris OF, Vicente Lupo OF, Wuilmer Becerra IF, RHP Gabriel Ynoa SP, and RHP Rainy Lara SP)
Germán Ahmed Rosario IF, Darrell Ceciliani OF, RHP Logan Verrett SP, and RHP Tyler Pill SP are also some guys we could include but I don't think we will have the space. We can always create them separate and put them on the vault if anyone feels like using them they can import over a different guy.
If you guys would like to suggest anything please speak up and let us know. I am just a ratings dude following spreadsheets I do not have as much knowledge about the minor league system as most of you so I would like to hear if anyone has better suggestions than me to make this the best Mets roster possible
*Note* I have uploaded the above version of the roster as 'Mets OSFM WIP noinjury' Both rosters have the same players but the noinjury roster has different rotation/lineups as outlined above.Last edited by BrianU; 03-18-2013, 08:52 PM.Comment

Re: OSFM 2013: New York Mets
Where's cowgill? Lol we need more cowgill!
Yeah! Bowman made the cut! Wooo!
Def Wilson, hughes, Josh Rod gor AAA/AA.
Centeno and Pena for catchers.
Peavy, Holt, Arm Rod and Hererra for RPs. We don't need to make any more RPs if we dont want to. You can put an Sp in the bullpen of AA. It doesn't mess anything up.
So lets also add goedell as an sp.
Metsfan already made Rosario.
We could use a few more OFers so cecliani and harris work for sure.Last edited by jetropolitans; 03-18-2013, 08:39 PM.- Mets

Which starter in AA should we put in the pen?
What would your last 5 A players be? Ceciliani, Harris, Rosario, ? and ?
I read about Rainy Lara and Gabriel Ynoa dominating for the Cyclones do you think they be worthy?Comment

Re: OSFM 2013: New York Mets
Oh man!
I just saw this great resource on the front of this post showing the pitch edits:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...GclUxOVE#gid=7
I'm going to edit some of the SP's tomorrow since these all look very good compared to my pitch edits and update them.
I am also going to see about mixing in some more pitch types such as instead of a four seamer making some guys have running fastballs or instead of a generic a changeball give them a circle change.. etc. I will use my judgment and try to be as accurate as I can but if anyone has suggestions on this please inform me
I'm also going to look over the D potential prospect ratings since I see now that they do not progress. We don't have very many of those so it won't be so bad. I will be able to update all of this tomorrowComment

Re: OSFM 2013: New York Mets
If we add Josh Rodriguez to AA as a backup (which i agree with) theres only room for 1 catcher. Should it be Centeno or Pena? We already have Kevin Plawecki.

Put german or goedell if we create him in the bp but no need to change them to an RP. Just put them in the spot.
1.Hughes
2.Wilson
3.JRod
4.Centeno
5.Pena
6.Rosario
7.Cecliani
8.Harris
9.Holt
10.ArmRod
11.Peavy
12.Hererra
13.Goedell
That leaves one spot for one of these. Might need another 1b?
Campbell
Lucas
Dykstra
Baccera
Lupo
Marquez
Ynoa
Lara
Cessa
Verrett
Panteliodis
Hutchinson
Koralek
Bennett

Re: OSFM 2013: New York Mets
I understand why Knight isn't having SCEA players being modified and have no problem with that, but for us hardcore mets fans ill release a few attribute edits for the guys who are prospects but are SCEA created. Guys like Josh Satin and Zach Lutz and a few more. In the default roster they are rated 55. All of the players I created using the chart are rated about 10 higher than the average SCEA player so it would throw things out of whack to keep them that way I feel. SCEA had satin and lutz both on the AA rosters for some reason too I can not understand that. They both have MLB cups of coffee and are SOLID AAA players, 55 is rediculousComment

I know I meant for the players I created, it has ratings in here that are better than mine :P
