    Re: 1984.....Again

Your 88' set is awesome! I'm playing it in season right now. Thanks for the response and for your time with creating these wonderful rosters. I'm not sure if the 1987 set is even being worked on anymore. There hasn't been any talk in that thread in almost a month...(I'm not complaining. God knows how much work something like that must be.)

    Thanks again!

Oh I am sure JMeyers will roll that set out eventually. It is a huge task and let me tell you...it will be worth it.

PJ's 88 and soon 89 are amazing. Playing an 88 season right now along with my current franchise.

Thought this might be nice for everyone to use to kinda compare their season to the real deal.

Check out the 1984 MLB Season History, featuring league standings, postseason results, no-hitters, and baseball's leaders in Home Runs, ERA, and more.

Any possibility of you putting a link on here to the roster? I don't have internet at home, but can download it here. If it's not too much trouble, I'd love to see what you have done!

Great job on the faces, but, looking at the 1984 World Champion Detroit Tigers, a few things to note.....

Missing are Barbaro Garbey (110 games played), Rusty Kuntz (84 games played) who BOTH played in the World Series. I believe Kuntz even drove in the run that put the Tigers ahead to stay in Game 5.

Also missing, are Doug Baker, Rod Allen, and Mike Laga.

Also, there is no way that Dave Rozema and Juan Berenguer should be rated higher than Milt Wilcox. Wilcox won 17 games that season, and didn't miss a start.

Finally, Alan Trammell's RT Power is WAY too low (22) Tram hit 16 home runs that season. I think his LT Power is too high (74) though.

And, how can you have Willie Hernandez, without his trademark Screwball?

                            Other than that, great job.

You can create some of those missing players and make some of the edits you mentioned.
