Good evening guys,
Two questions for you guys, and I'm sorry ahead of time if this has been brought up already. #1 once the V2 rosters get released will I have to bring down 15 guys to make it a 25 MLB man roster a day prior to opening day? #2 I have noticed that Christian Yelich is the #12 overall prospect, however, he is only rated 61? Is that an error? Thanks for your time on reading this fellas, and thank you all for your hard work I'm big fan of what you guys do
2. Yelich was rated using the same formula as everyone else so I'm guessing there's been no mistake with him although I agree it sounds a bit low with 61 overallFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: MLB 13 The Show - Operation Sports Full Minors 2013: Edition v.1
Hey all,
First post newbie here. Wanna start by thanking all the guys involved with the O.S.F.M. project. You guys do some superlative work, and the baseball gaming community is indebted to you.
I would very much like to be able to use these rosters for my RTTS career. From reading the forum, it seems to me my best bet is to wait for the release of the V2 version. But I'm also confused by some of the issues raised by other folks on the forum. So I guess my main question is twofold:
1) Are these rosters well suited for RTTS play, or better suited to Franchise play?
2) Will I have issues with outstanding contract lengths if I use O.S.F.M. V2 in RTTS mode?
Any direction you can give me would be most helpful. Thanks again for your herculean efforts.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show - Operation Sports Full Minors 2013: Edition v.1
I hear you, but neither did Fernandez and the dude you can tell is going to be a stud which also seems to be a bit under rated at 76 when he is rated higher than Wheeler (81) as a prospect, but at 76 is not bad I guess. Yelich IMO shouldn't be a 61 that's kinda of low for a 12 overall prospect. Hamilton at 11th is a 74, Sano at 12th is a 74 and Yelich at 13 a 61??? In addition, Xander at 20th is a 74 as well. Doesn't seem right. Not trying to say anything bad nor negative, I just wanted to get your opinion on it.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show - Operation Sports Full Minors 2013: Edition v.1
Iowa Cubs (AAA)
SP - Chris Rusin #21
SP - Drew Carpenter #18
SP - Brooks Raley #19
SP - Nick Struck #11
SP - Barret Loux #50
CL - Blake Parker #34
RP - Rafael Dolis #37
RP - Jaye Chapman #24
RP - Cory Wade #22
RP - Zach Putnam #35
RP - Jensen Lewis #27
RP - Casey Coleman #17
Opening Day VS RHP (have not faced a LH starter)
1 - Logan Watkins 2B #6
2 - Brett Jackson CF #7
3 - Brian Bogusevic 1B #32
4 - Brad Nelson 3B #40
5 - Darnell McDonald RF #16
6 - Ty Wright LF #2
7 - Edwin Maysonet SS #33
8 - J.C. Boscan C #15
BN - Luis Flores C #9 (not in initial ST set)
BN - Donnie Murphy #5
BN - Josh Vitters 3B #1
BN - Ryan Sweeney OF #39
BN - Junior Lake SS (injured - has not joined team)
Lineup has kind of changed since Sweeney and Murphy joined the team and Vitters returned from injury, but the above lineup was technically the Opening Day lineup.
AA-Tennessee is a little trickier since a lot of the guys on the actually roster weren't in the initial ST set and probably don't deserve to be, well at least bullpen/bench type guys, but here is kind of a makeup of who I think would make a good roster for the set...
Tennessee Smokies (AA)
SP - Dallas Beeler #34
SP - Alberto Cabrera #22
SP - Austin Kirk (actually with A-Daytona)
SP - Starling Peralta (actually with A-Daytona)
SP - Dae-Eun Rhee #11
CL - Tony Zych #32
RP - Kevin Rhoderick #12 (not in initial ST set)
RP - Marcus Hatley #25
RP - Matt Loosen (can't find him in the system but in initial set)*
RP - Guillermo Moscoso (rehabbing/EXST-will probably eventually join IOWA)
RP - Lendy Castillo (currently with Low A-Kane County)
RP - Armando Rivero (not currently assigned to a team - probably joins TENN at some point)
*Frank Batista, Eric Jokisch, Kyle Hendricks could be other choices for the bullpen
Opening Day VS RHP
1 - Matt Szczur LF #4
2 - Arismendy Alcantara SS #7
3 - Jae-Hoon Ha CF #3
4 - Justin Bour 1B #40
5 - Christian Villanueva 3B #16
6 - Rafael Lopez C #29
7 - Johermyn Chavez RF #21
8 - Ellioto Soto 2B #5
First Game VS LHP
1 - Matt Szczur LF #4
2 - Arismendy Alcantara SS #7
3 - Jae-Hoon Ha CF #3
4 - Justin Bour 1B #40
5 - Jonathan Mota 2B #15
6 - Rubi Silva RF #24 (not in initial ST set)
7 - Jair Fernandez C #18
8 - Tim Torres 3B #--
BN - Jair Fernandez C #18 (VS RHP) / Rafael Lopez C #29 (VS LHP)
BN - Jonatha Mota IF #15 (VS RHP) / Elliot Soto IF #5 (VS LHP)
BN - Tim Torres 3B #-- (VS RHP) / Christian Villanueva 3B #16 (VS LHP)
BN - Rubi Silva OF #24 (VS RHP) / Johermyn Chavez OF #21 (VS LHP)
BN - Greg Rohan 1B #-- (injured - has not joined team)
I really wouldn't worry about Soto, Mota, Torres unless you need fillers. I would probably use Ronald Torreyes as the starting 2B since a lot of people expected him to open the season with TENN and will probably be there when healthy. The other bench spots could be used for Class A prospects.
AA is kind of tricky with the guys the Cubs have there/were in the ST set.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show - Operation Sports Full Minors 2013: Edition v.1
I won't remove any prospects(even the lower potential ones)
I'm nearly 100% with AAA so far....and getting pretty close to most AA....but I do just use a prospect to "fill in" if necessary.

Re: MLB 13 The Show - Operation Sports Full Minors 2013: Edition v.1
Here's what I would change for Yelich, puts him at 68 in left and 71 in center:
73/50 R/L contact
49/43 R/L power
50 vision
62 discipline
62 speed
46 reaction
59 fielding
59 BR ability
50 BR aggressivenessBakin' soda, I got bakin' sodaComment

I think the ones with service time like Garland, Maine etc definitely will be added. Not sure about the other like Jackie Bradley. Guess it depends on how their face looksFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: MLB 13 The Show - Operation Sports Full Minors 2013: Edition v.1
obviously I know that SCEA can't allow for contracts to be anything like real life, that being said are you guys going to do the FA3 trick in order to get the correct number of years for the guys who recently got extensions; Elvis Andrus, Justin Verlander, Buster Posey, Adam Wainwright, etcComment
