    How To Get Fielding Ratings

Hey does anyone know any good formulas for fielding, reaction, arm accuracy, and arm strength?

We searched and tried to come with formulas for the Hybrid, but there is not enough good/real data that can be applied to the game.

Seanjeezys numbers are great but they are last years and inaccurate for some players - mainly catchers and 1B

You can get this years numbers from Fangraphs

Uh no... The ratings were pulled straight from Fangraphs and there's a tab in the spreadsheet that is strictly 2012 data...

What is wrong with catcher and 1st base men ratings?

I am not trying to kiss sean jeezy's behind

But the work that he gives us for MLB 13 is more important than anyone else. He is brillant.

Jeezy, do you use the speed rating for speed in the game or is there something else you'd use to make decisions on that? I only ask because of steals. Cutch and Marte, based on the ratings, would be able to absolutely fly. But, neither are exceptional base stealers (although Cutch has been better this year) so does stealing impact what you'd put for speed or should there just be a corresponding BR Ability bump down to compensate?

Also, am I correct in assuming that "hands" would be the fielding rating?

I love your spreadsheet i really do. But do all the ratings there actually correlate ro real life. Like for example, salty's fielding ratings is in the 40s or 50s i believe when actually, in 2012 he was far better. Do you think they actually reflect real life ratings?

I like the ratings, but having Coco Crisp is rated a 1 in arm strength? That can't be right, I haven't tested it to judge, but that just doesn't seem right to me.

I'd do my own Fielding edits, but I just don't have an accurate way to measure first steps, footwork, hands, etc.
