If you want to stay a member of this site you would be best served to not PM'ing mods complaining about this thread not being stickied and other members being banned.

The member you are mad about being banned had already been banned previously and was allowed back in and still couldn't behave himself.

This thread isn't stickied because frankly, no one cares about it except the 6 or so of you.

You did great work, I even used your rosters for a second franchise of mine. But you are really toeing the line by PM'ing another moderator here and telling them they need to "do their job".

I hope you know this isn't a "job" for us. We don't get paid, we do this on top of our normal full time jobs.

You would be best served to take that into consideration before sending any future PM's to moderators....

This project has hundreds of downloads per year for the last three years. That's a few more than "6".

I don't know the content of king's PMs but no reason for you to be rude to the rest of kehlis.

6 was an arbitrary number and was not meant to be an exact. We can't just stickie a thread because someone asks for it. You've been here long enough to know that.

I know the hard work that goes into this which is why i said I even downloaded these rosters and I think they are fantastic.

This thread doesn't deserve a sticky though but that is besides the point.

The PM that was sent to another mod here was over the line. No one here deserves preferential treatment. The response he gave is what got him banned.

This isn't a free for all sight. It's a shame because I think he is a good kid but we can't treat anyone differently. I tried to give him a chance in a scenario when others wanted him banned.

This really isn't a situation where you can argue against the power. He was given every chance and chose to go against it.

Believe it or not, we aren't here to just ban people, we get nothing from it other than keeping this site the way we like it.

Agreed, and I also find it interesting that it is believed that only "six or so" are interested. Just because people don't post in the thread it doesn't mean they aren't following.

So you keep a sticky a thread such as the All-Time Classic roster thread, a roster that is like 25% done and isnt even being worked on anymore, but you wont sticky a thread that, like SluggBugg said, has gotten several hundred downloads each year for the previous 3 years? That seems a little ridiculous to me. And to ban king riles just because he messaged you multiple times asking for a sticky? That doesnt seem like any reason to ban him. Its not like he's spamming your inbox with messages trying to advertise some other website or anything. He (and everyone thats worked on this) just wanted to get the thread stickied so that more people can see this roster, an ENTIRELY fictional roster. Theres nothing else like it on OS here. Its not historical, its not current, its not even like bedwardsroy's fantasy roster with movie characters and such. I dont see any reason not to sticky it. And to ban him for asking for it? Ridiculous

Ok so you said that he was banned for an "over the line" PM. Whether it was about trying to get bdolski unbanned, or asking for a sticky on this thread, unless he was swearing his mouth off at whatever mod we are talking about here, I see no reason to ban him. If you didnt do it, then whatever mod DID ban him must be really sensitive because I highly doubt King_riles sent any more than 5 PM's and I certainly doubt that his language was "over the line".

To be fair, this thread has been at or near the top of the roster section for the last couple of weeks even without a sticky. Would it being sticky be nice? Sure, absolutely. I would certainly like for it to be and I only did maybe 30 players at most. I want them to be seen and used and appreciated by as many people as possible.

That being said, the decision to not sticky it is one that I also understand. If we keep building the popularity through discussion of the actual rosters perhaps we'll get stickied at some later point. Arguing the point will likely only end in a lock to the thread and perhaps another ban or two being used. If the thread gets locked due to arguments, the work that we put into this roster will be unlikely to get nearly as much attention and publicity as if we simply continue to discuss how to make the roster (which is already very good) even better.

Being made sticky would help of course, but arguing won't get us there. That will only happen if we continue to grow both support and recognition for these rosters. We can do that and these rosters deserve for us to do that. Let's make it so that a week or two down the line the choice to sticky us is clear. At the very least let's make it so that next year's version will get stickied due to the popularity this year.

I'm not really arguing for a sticky as much as I am arguing for the fact that king_riles was banned. Sure, I do think that the thread should be stickied, but if it doesnt, I'm not gonna throw a fit. I just think its stupid that king_riles was banned for a few PM's that supposedly "crossed the line"
