I have nothing to add to your thread but praise for you and what I've read. Adding Abreu last just proves you're thinking ahead for all of us. That was my biggest concern about starting my franchise for real. Figured Ike would be dealt and one he's gone they'd take the lefty pinch hitter rather than keeping Kirk up to sit on the pine. Problem might be that with Lagares out coupled with a banged up pair in Grandy and CY, they might hold on to Kirk up until that opt out date. The good news seems to be that Abreu can be imported since McGahee and other SCEA created players have been.

So aside from the uniforms and some SOTS flubbiness, I'm loving this game for my summer hobby. Thank you all who do this for us.

Zach Thorton will be on Pittsburg Roster and Ike on the Mets for the 1st release which is "Opening Day" Rosters. I am sure an updated version with transactions up to date will be released shortly after.



I will probably make Mazzilli also as an extra and put him in the vault.

If these are for opening day rosters, wouldnt technically Parnell be on the opening day roster? He got hurt the first game of the year right?

That's true. He was injured probably beforehand but he gave it a go in the first game and blew a save. He was placed on the DL the next day.

And btw, the Mets are going to promote Bobby Abreu this week. It will be interesting to see if Hefner gives up the 53. Hefner and Harvey could both still pitch this year towards the end of the year.

The Mets will promote Bobby Abreu from Triple-A for Monday’s game, the team announced. He has yet to recieve a number.

Yay I'm Smart! I had Abreu all ready to be made from Casey McGahee to give him some decent service time but now He will certainly be on next Monday's roster update and able to be imported right in. It would be cool and bold of SE to add him to todays roster update since the Mets reported they will purchase his contract today. But either way the news is great for me since that is one less face I have to create! For me, that is what takes the most time. 5 guys to go and I should bang them out today. Tomorrow I will do a final edit on all my created player's attributes and pass the roster to Knight and we will be that much closer!

technically he would be on the opening day 25man and 40man. Personally I would just leave him off and just have Farnsworth since he is out for the year. I will leave that decision up to Knight. When I start my franchise he will probably put him on the 60day DL regardless of where he appears on the 1st OSFM release.

I do appreciate your efforts. Always did it myself. Never had internet until now so i feel like a leech not helping. Hopefully i can help next year or if someone bails this year. In the meantime I'm doing a screw around franchise. Basically testing if I want to have quick counts or not. Went through spring training. Started regular season just now. Made Abreu out of Bartlett who retired. Gave him last known attributes. Assigned him 23. Pinch hit double in ninth. Scored run to bring Mets to one run down. Lost game.

One thing I will say about if you're going to use quick counts. Turn them off with aces or disable pitch confidence. Once your pitcher hits the wall his wheels are coming off. The second half of game it's hard to even use off speed pitches.

-Final OD Roster post updated-Becerra added over Koch. I just wanted more Pitching spots available for Thorton etc. b/c there is a 45 max for pitchers.
