Re: White Sox 2014 OSFM
Just came on here to fix that. Looked like garbage his last time out. I think that final spot is down to Webb. I know Putnum and Purcey have yet to be sent down but I can't see the Sox going with one of those garbage pitchers.Comment

Re: White Sox 2014 OSFM
Lot's of minors roster movement. The big one is the Sox claimed Javy Guerra from the Dodgers and then outright him off the 40-man. He will be in Triple-A.
The following guys are no longer in the organization:
OF Mark Haddow
RP Eric Jaffe
RP Henry Mabee
2B Cody Puckett
2B/LF Eric Patterson
RP Salvador Sanchez
RP Steven Upchurch
Puckett and Patterson were set to make the set, so that frees up 2 spots.Comment

Omar Poveda is also gone. Just another slot for a younger pitcher in A ball.Comment

Re: White Sox 2014 OSFM
You said it. I'm relieved Pena is gone. True definition of Triple-A fodder if any. I'm going to miss Omo because I literally followed his entire career when he was drafted by the Sox and was happy for him after all the injuries he suffered to get a cup of coffee at the MLB level.Comment

Re: White Sox 2014 OSFM
I was messing with the audio name database after getting the game (didn't have a lot of time to play a game and was just killing time) and I noticed that Nieto's name was included which is great because when he is put in the game we won't have to deal with a PA announcer saying: "Now batting, the catcher..." hahaComment

Re: White Sox 2014 OSFM
As for Hawkins, he's still a A- potential. Granted, he struggled mightily last year, but he also was only 19 years old and one of the youngest players in the Sally League. The Sox rushed him with out a doubt. His potential is still through the roof, but his floor is that of a career minor leaguer. He's still VERY raw, and the current ratings I have for him will reflect that (he comes to a 50 overall in MLB 13). In order for him to turn into a quality MLB player, he is going to need a lot of work - but his power potential makes him worth the gamble.Comment

Re: White Sox 2014 OSFM
I'm removing C Michael Blanke from the list. For anyone wondering, no one is exactly 100% sure where he went. Seems like the Sox may be trying to convert him into a pitcher.Comment
