Really surprised to see Anderson not in the set. A lot of the hitters are not mine due to me being too busy to get the set in on time, so this is clearly a merge of what I gave Knight on Saturday and whatever was started when I went MIA. Totally my fault that I got too busy to work on this this year. The list on the first page of this thread is who I submitted to Knight. I'm probably going to go through this roster and release some guys in the vault, but that probably won't happen until later in the week. I have another really busy week ahead of me, so I doubt I will be available until next Saturday or Sunday (plus I still need to buy a PS4).

I have a Tim Anderson that I submitted, but his face was not completed. I'll try to finish him up today and drop him in the vault.

        Re: White Sox 2014 OSFM

Thank you to everyone who put in the work to make these rosters possible. I know it's not an easy job. I appreciate the effort you guys put into this roster set, I honestly do.

However, I did notice several errors for the Chicago White Sox, which is no biggie since it's version 1. This is an opening day roster set, correct? If so, there are a few guys on the roster who weren't acquired until after the season started.

        Here's my suggestions:

        Definitely Remove

SP Tommy Hanson (Acquired after the season started)

RP Frank Francisco (Acquired after the season started)

RP Brian Omogrosso (Relased from the organizaton prior to the season. Is now pitching in indepedent ball)

SS Angel Sanchez (Was released in August 2013 and hasn't been in an MLB organization since)

CF Gorkys Hernandez (Acquired after the season started)

        Should Remove

RP Ryan Kussmaul (27 year old started the year in AAA but was demoted to AA due to poor performance. I would prefer his spot go to a younger prospect, as he's basically organizational filler and someone who I doubt ever reaches the majors)

C Luis Sierra (Non-prospect. His spot should go to someone else)

1B Christian Marrero (27 year old in AA. Career minor leaguer. His spot should go to someone else)

2B Jaime Pedroza (27 year old in AA. Career minor leaguer. His spot should go to someone else)

3B Jeremy Farrell (27 year old in AA. Career minor leaguer. His spot should go to someone else)

        Definitely Add

        SP Myles Jaye

        SP Jeffrey Wendelken

        SP Tyler Danish

        RP Kevin Vance

        RP Kyle Hansen

        SS Tim Anderson

        SS Cleuluis Rondon

        Should Add

        RP Parker Frazier

        RP Jefferson Olacio

        3B Daniel Wagner

Also, I'm having a hard time understanding some of the potential ratings.

A guy like C Miguel Gonzalez has a B potential, even though he's an all-glove, no bat guy, while P Erik Johnson has a C potential even though he's the highest rated prospect in our organization.

There's a few more that leave me scratching my head. There's a lot of Ds that shoul be at least Cs (Rienzo, Bassitt, Snodgress, etc.)

I have CAPS for Anderson (in the vault), Danish, Jaye, Rondon, Vance, Hansen that were not included. We had a time crunch with completing the White Sox this year, which his why there is a few errors. The first page list is what I submitted to Knight, but there was already a roster that had been started. This is a combination of what I gave Knight and what others had collaborated to get a set out on time.

As for Hanson, Francisco, and Hernandez they were included because it would be pointless to not include them, create 3 players, and then instantly replace them after 2 weeks of the season, plus they were not Major League additions, so it does not cause a problem to the 40-Man roster. Also, don't forget that Noesi and now Sierra need to be added to the Sox still. You need a few minor league fillers for the upper levels and when roster moves are made. But like you said, it's still Version 1.0 so I'm sure Knight will tweak it.

Gonzalez, Johnson, and Rienzo are SCEA players. No one created them. And the only potential I agree with you on is Gonzalez. He should be around 66-69 IMO, as he is a future defensive backup like Henry Blanco (and ever that is generous). Bassitt is a 25 year old yet to sniff Triple-A. He's destined for the bullpen. Same with Rienzo, and he's even older. Neither one of those guys will be big time contributors the the Sox.

The potentials I handed out to players was based with how I see them compared to other players in the game. 66-69 potential players are the guys who bounce around from the MLB and Triple-A year to year: your backups & MRP. The 70's are your everyday players. 80's are you All-Stars. 90's are the superstars. SCEA was a lot more strict with potential this year IMO, and personally I like it better. But you can always change it yourself if you don't agree with it. It's one of the best new features in the game.

I was really looking forward to your version so I can't wait until the missing players are in the vault. Didn't you say a few pages back that you had a few surprises for us too? I can't wait to replace a few of the pitchers that made it in, Sanchez, and Marrero haha

Hey, do you have all the CAPS you listed a couple pages back in the vault already??

Danish, Anderson, Johnson, and Rondon I really want to be in the minors when starting a franchise. I am sure there are a few more as well.. Not sure how many CAPS you have and who exactly made the cut and not since I can't look at it until Tuesday

On the first post in the first page I have I list started that will show you who is in the vault, among the list of players I submitted to Knight (not all were included). So far, I only have Micah Johnson and Anderson in the vault. I have not yet posted Rondon or Danish.

Thank you. I assume once we download the roster we can then download the players in the vault and add them to the White Sox minor league roster?

Do you think you will have Rondon and Danish in by Tuesday?

Thanks for getting this all together!

Joe, that was exactly my thoughts. I can't wait until we get more deserving players. So far, I released Angel Sanchez for Chad Tracy (since he just retired) and imported Tim Anderson over him.

Not their fault, the Sox were literally thrown together on Saturday night. If anyone is to blame, it's me for not getting the Sox to them sooner. I'm just trying to get some guys up that are must haves into the vault for those who can't wait a week or so.

Johnson made it, but like I said earlier, some of the Sox hitters are not my work. I'm just releasing what I have in my personal roster. If people want to use mine, they can, if not no harm done.
