I am bummed that the PS3 version won't be out until April 1st. I understand they had a lot to do on the PS4 and maybe they got behind on all platforms. I will be sticking with PS3 for this year and probably next year. I hope to get a PS4 soon though.

Bad news is we probably won't get OSFM until late April/early May.

Good news is that by April 1st the MLB and MiLB rosters will be final and we wont have to do any guess work.

So I saw we can transfer rosters between ps3 and ps4. But how will the transition between systems work? For example, hair and beard styles will be different on ps4.

At least we can base OSFM off of the opening day roster.

Did everyone get a PS4?

Looking forward to having OSFM from almost day one. Hopefully the file conversion won't involve too much additional work. I can foresee faces and cosmetic details needing some next-gen attention, but the meat & potatoes should be in place from the PS3 file.

I don't think there is going to be much of a difference. I remember one of CD guys mentioned there probably wont be much of a difference, But I'm sure once the rosters are transferred to the PS4 Knight and company will make adjustments when it come to things like that if need be.

I guess with the PS3's release on April 1st, they'll wait to base the rosters off of the Opening Day roster update.

Just curious to know who is going to be in charge or creating the Pirates OSFM this year? What are your plans, are you starting on the PS3 and transferring them to PS4 like others? Also who do you plan on creating for them...do you have a roster compiled already? Any chance you can show us the 90 man roster you are going to make? Are you taking requests on who we would like to have in the roster? Thanks Go BUCCOS!!

I don't think there will be enough room to fit him on the 90 man roster. I could create him though if there is time and place him on the player vault.

I think we only have 3 or 4 players from the 2013 draft who will be included for sure this year and they were drafted in the first 5 rounds. I think Jeff Roy was an 18th round pick or something like that. It is tough to include more than 3 or 4 players from the most recent draft.

Check out the first page of this thread. I posted a preliminary 90 man roster that the roster creaters will/can work from. This year with the release being pushed back to April/May, it should be eaiser to get the 90 man roster fairly accurate based on team websites and MLB depth charts.

As for plans, I don't know. From what I read, knight is planning on only getting the PS3 version.

I myself was only planning on getting the PS4 version. I worked on the Pirates face edits the last few years, so I'm not sure how things are going to work out this year. From the sounds of things, I may not even be involved this year as someone else will have to work on the Pirates face edits for the PS3 version.

EDIT: Oh and most importantly, I have a blast working on the Pirates edits with you tree3five, as well as Qb when he's involved and a few other guys as well. Actually, I was kind of bummed out myself thinking about not working on the roster this year.

Really I wasn't sure what I was going to do. I expected that everyone would be getting the PS4.

I wish I could get a PS4 this year. I really can't afford it right now (got a wife now and I can't spend like I used to, lol). Plus I got a lot of PS3 games to complete and I know I wont touch them if I get a PS4, lol.

I'm in the same boat as far as games on the PS3 I haven't completed yet.

Not in the same boat as far as a wife though. My vacation this year will be expensive, so I kind of like the idea of putting off getting a PS4.

Also, I'm not sure if I like the idea of waiting until May to play the new version. Plus depending on when the PS4 version comes out in May, I might be in Hawaii anyway.
