Wanted to start my RTTS tonight because the RTTS points are half off in the store for memorial day. Would have put 1,000 points into durability lol. I hate how they start you off with extremely sketchy durability


I can wait another day though, and hopefully I avoid them broken bones as I storm to the bigs. Big thanks to Willard and crew, I'm sure this roster will be worth the wait

Yeah I plan on purchasing the points when I get off work in an hour. It's a good sale!

I don't understand your need to troll.

And ya, I have a ton of time, I work 50 hours a week, play on 2 ball teams, coach my nephews ball team, have a wife who is 4 weeks away from giving birth, spend most of my time from 4-8pm chasing my little guy around the house and somehow find a few hours a day to first help do 5 teams for the OSFM, then work on this roster once that was complete.

But see this is what you don't understand - I don't get paid for doing any of this - I do this because I like to give back to people who appreciate what we do - this started as my own roster that I shared with the community and now have gotten several people involved in helping - one guy who doesn't even own the game yet.

I admit, we took the long way around doing some things this year in an effort to get it out faster, but we also took a different approach in ensuring that we love what we are putting out - there have been more corrections made to this roster then probably the first 2 Hybrids put together.

I am not sure if you have ever put a roster together or done editing - but let me give you a taste of what goes into it - and I have time to write this post while someone else is working on the roster.

First - we need to wait for the ZiPs projections to come out with splits. tbbucsfan001 takes these and puts them into a spreadsheet with formulas that will turn stats into ratings that match what the rating represents in the game

Second - we need to wait for the OSFM roster to be completed, which forms the base of this roster. While we were waiting this year I myself and Darion06 put in all the stats for original SCEA players - oh and I created the Blue Jays for the OSFM, and did faces for 4 other teams

Third - Once the OSFM was released, myself and Sky63 spent several days importing all the OSFM players

Next - teeds, myself, mmorg had to enter in the ZiPs ratings or all the OSFM players

Fifth - we needed to create players to fill voids left by players being dropped or traded from team - enter in cultbuscus, davis25, teeds and myself again as well as players with incorrect service time and maybe the odd face that was not so well done

Sixth - Rosters had to be matched to proper 40 man, AAA and AA roster with real lineups and rotations as well as check over the OSFM for spelling errors, weight and height errors, position errors etc - thank you to cultbuscus again for that

Finally - all transactions have to be checked over to make sure none were missed, created players have to be imported and ratings must be double checked - which is teeds dept

Oh and while all this is happening we had guys running tests on the roster and had to figure out some issues with ratings not being the same value they were last year - thank you to Totte and the others who helped me with that.

The most fun part of this is with the exception of the players creation process, which also involves at times having to do research on a player to find out info for him, only one person can work on the roster at once. We have had a couple guys work through their vacations and in some cases all night.

So while I understand you really want to use this roster, please respect the guys who give a couple months of their lives to provide you with this roster.

Oh, and I have played a total of 4 games in the 2 months and $140 I spent on this game - and all were for test purposes so we can give you accurate sliders!

Im always amazed at all you guys that do roster work whether it be the original OSFM roster, or rerates, pitch edits, etc. I usually do my own rerates on NBA2k, but their is no way I would want to take on a baseball game with as many players as there are, and a lot more variables to doing a baseball roster. I will typcially change a few htings for myself on a edited roster, but there is absolutely no way I would ever have the patience to do what you and others do around here.

Not sure yet if I will use this roster, but I am anxious to see what it looks like when your done with it, and might end up using it after all. Im mainly wating for them to patch the PS3 before starting my chise considering it bascially broken as is right now. There were a lotof things I liked about your roster last year but a few things I wasnt to sure on, but I know there was and is a lot of hard work put into these ZIP projection edits. You have to purchase them from within an existing RTTS file. So if you're waiting for the rosters like I am, it won't work out. But it's not a big deal at all, was just a thought I had earlier before I found out they were going to be delayed til tomorrow.

I've seen the commercials for that game but haven't really paid that much attention to them. What's that game all about?

It's basically GTA mixed with FarCry, mixed with some sort of hacking game. It's insane. What this trailer:

I used to work for Wal-Mart in Electronics years ago, and one of the associates I worked with is now the department manager. He sells me copies on occasion. This game was too good to pass up getting early. Haha

Nope, players turn into beards with no appendages at all and become useless in game. It's ridiculous to watch, but kind of arousing??????

I have two guys that are willing to help me do this. That is, if we're the ones doing it. We've done this before and have a system to make it work. If I have the roster tomorrow it will get done. One person cannot do this by himself.

Unforunately, it won't be out until sometime tomorrow night. Early tomorrow night, but tomorrow night nonetheless. There's about 5 guys I'm creating on my own right now, and will shove them in the vault when I'm done. Willard has the roster, and will sneak those last 5 in there, put the finishing touches, sprinkle some magical dust bestowed upon him by the baseball gods, and it should be in the hands of the masses. The second its in my hand, I'll get started on the pitch edits. Rovert, if you want to help with that, PM me you PSN, and you can get started on it first if you want. I usually go deep into the night (4-5 in the morning), so if you want to knock out a bunch for me to lighten the load, that would be greatly appreciated.
