    This.

When I said a couple of the problems I was having with OS sliders, this was one of the biggies. This is NOT a roster issue. You can tune down the cpu strike frequency, control, and consistency sliders until you get reasonable results. There is a thread here (ItBeMe??) that has lower strike frequency numbers that works well.

Another issue that I've been made aware of is that the cpu AI is dynamic. So if you keep taking every 1st pitch, well then ya, you will get a motherload of 1st pitch strikes. My advice is to mix up your approach and if that doesn't help, tweak sliders. But I was having a similar problem a while back.

          1. Thanks for all of those who put work into these rosters. I think no matter how many people say this, it still deserves recognition and we all appreciate the work. Kudos.

          2. Is V2 or V2a with ALL of SeanJeezys pitch edits? Or just the three things in bold on page 1?

Please let me know ASAP, as if they have ALL pitch edits, I'm starting my franchise tonight!!!

          Again, much appreciated.

I believe both version 2 and version 2a have the pitch edits.

Great rosters. I played my first game with them. Lost 6-5 to Astros, playing as Orioles. As to real life, O's struck out a lot and only hit homers. Also Tillman was out by 4th inning. Going to be fun to play with them over generations of the game.

Do player potentials change depending on their stats.

Say Josh Bell on the Pirates is a B potential and tears up AA. Will his potential move up to A the following season.

Yes potentials are dynamic and based on performance--kinda like playing the stock market with prospects like in real life.

                  Actually, no, I'd rather not.

Don't take it the wrong way, but my philosophy is that people should develop their own anyway. And I don't want to get into the "so and so said this would help with this stat, and it doesn't work for me" kind of thing and open up a whole can of worms. I'm progressing to the "enjoying the game phase" from the "helping answer questions constantly phase" of MLB 14.

There are plenty of slider sets (a whole subforum full) around to sample if you don't want to start from scratch.

                    No problem man... Just wondering

I'm using Itbeme's sliders and I really like them.

While Adams certainly deserves a low speed rating, the 62 given to Molina was very generous.

I told Willard to bump Yadi's speed as it was low in the first place. He stole 12 bags in 2012 and has averaged 4 steals/season in his career. We'll hardly see him steal any base in the game if the rating is under 50.

I agree that 62 might be a tad high but I wouldn't put him below 55.

A few things I noticed that some of you guys can fix on your rosters:

Kevin Plaweki of the Mets should be "Plawecki"

Cristhian Adames of the Rockies should be skin color 3

Jarrett Parker of the Giants should be 6'4" 210 and L/L

I'm using the sliders posted on the first page as a base, but does anyone know if when playing Manage only mode in franchise, does it only use CPU sliders, or does it use HUM sliders for the team I'm managing?

I'm pretty sure that most of the sliders have no effect on sim games, other than I think it's manager hook and I think there was another one to, but can't remember..

What is the difference between 2.1 and 2.1a? Is it just plate discipline and beards?

I'm basing my OD set off of v2.1a and I'll have the PD+5 fix applied.

The "A" version included beard corrections. Don't know what version the PD+5 fix was applied to but I think it was the "A" version.

Or it could just be an oversight, they did a lot. feel free to change it yourself.
Agreed. I changed Yadi to a 27 as well. As many edits those guys made it would be easy to make some mistakes. They did an overall great job. Game plays better with this roster set IMO.
