How do you edit players' secondary positions beyond the predetermined categories?

So what I want to know is how you edit a player to have non-standard combinations of secondary positions. Like, how do you make an OF whose secondary positions include CF/LF/RF and something like 2B or SS?

There are lots of super sub players in the game who play multiple IF and OF positions, but as far as I can tell, I can't seem to edit a player who doesn't already have those odd combinations and give them to him.

Is there some kind of trick to the editing here? I have to assume that OSFM folks edited certain players to have multiple non-standard secondary positions, so there must be a way that I just don't know about.

Thanks in advance for the feedback!

Use a player that has those unusual second positions as base for the player you want to create.

    There isn't another way.

Really? That's a super bummer. So you have to *create* the player and can't edit an existing player you want to keep as-is name and attribute wise into one of these sub-types?

We ought to have unlimited customization ability when selecting things like secondary position, imo.

SCEA changes the secondary positions for current players through Weekly roster updates. They add positions for UTILITY guys where it's needed.

Which is great, and if they can add a position, I'd love to have the ability to do that myself, or to subtract a position--whatever I want to do.

If I have a young player who excels with the glove but doesn't hit well and I want to turn him into a super-sub utility fielder, I can't do that at present, which kind of stinks.

I would love something as simple as a LF primary, and then 1B-RF-CF secondary. As it is now, you have to make him 1B primary and OF secondary. There is also a thing about a 2B cannot be secondary SS/3B, you have to make him an IF (which gives him 1B as well, which doesn't happen with most of those players)...again, you have to make him a 3B with 2B/SS secondary.

I think they should just allow you to add any position you want for secondary; just make it a list and click off any that apply.

I found a way but it only works with creating a new player. You need to edit someone that has those secondary positions you want. So for example, say I need to create a 2B that also knows how to play SS and 3B. If I find a SS that has the secondary positions of 2B and 3B, I can edit him into a 2B and he his secondary positions will turn into SS and 3B. So long as you do not touch that secondary position when editing the player, it will switch/stay. So when in the edit screen the players first position will read "2B" and his second position will read as blank. This works for this super utility players too. Can't do it to players already in the game, but hopefully this helps a little.

That doesn't make sense, as you say create someone new, then edit someone who has those positions. Those are opposite actions, in this case.

Yeah this is something I dont know why SCEA dont work on, cause its not ideal as is.

What really sucks is if you put a guy at a position he plays IRL the AI will sub him out once the game starts. That gets very frustrating imo.
