I'm still getting a file corrupted error . (Your 2017 works perfectly at Slot 1)
Could we get a version of the roster for Slot 1 instead of Slot 2? Not sure if that's the issue for my case.

I am 100% sure that the slot number is not the problem. When this "File is corrupt" message had appeared my end, what I do is to save another roster in game, here in slot 2, then, repeat the whole process again:

Back your current game save up in Vita Save Manager (VSM), in this case replace decrypted files in folder Roster_031 with my files, as usual. Finally restore this game save in VSM.

Assume that you create a new save file (roster, season, ...) without backing up your game save in VSM. You restore the most recent game save you have. Notice that in this example, that one -the most recent game save- is not your current game save. You are going to see a "File is corrupt" message when loading it.

Takeaway message: It is very important to backup your current game saves in VSM, before replacing files and restoring. Especially if you save new files.

Also be sure that you back up and restore game saves from the same slot in VSM. It could be that you are backing up for example, in slot 1 and restoring from slot 3. Note that these VSM slots are not related with saving slots in game referred above.

I'm actually restoring my VSM backups from the same slot.
I tried everything you mentioned (even saving a new roster and repeating) but I'm still getting the corrupted error.


Steps I've taken so far-

This is starting from a fresh install with 0 save files and 0 backups in VSM:

1. Save a Roster in Slot 2 -Named "Apr 2021" (not sure if name and slot is necessary)-
2. Make a backup on VSM
3. Transfer and Replace CRC.BIN and DATA_00.BIN to Roster_031 Folder with Vitashell
4. Restore the Backup on VSM
5. Load the game... and no Luck


What Version of Vita Save Manager are you using by the way?


I'm sure you worked several hours on this and it would be great to play with this update. If it's not too tedious do you mind writing a step by step guide on how you do it? I may be missing tiny steps because I was only able to get the 2017 Roster to work

I am using VSM v2.0.0.

Saving slots in MLBTS14
By saving a roster in slot 2, I mean that you choose the second slot counting from top, to save your roster in game. As an example, in the left hand side picture of this post, that slot is the one with a roster file called "Test". The name is not relevant, only the slot number. Please double check that all is ok in this step.

Only for completeness, in that same picture, the 1st slot has a roster called "Apr 2017", the 3rd slot a roster called "Apr 2021", the 4th slot is empty and the 5th slot has a roster called "Default". Folder Roster_030 is linked to 1st slot, Roster_031 to 2nd slot and so on.

Saving slots in VSM
Make sure that you overwrite your files with mine in ux0:data/savegames/PCSA00115/SLOTX/ROSTER_031.
You mentioned that in your case, ux0:data/savegames/PCSA00115/SLOTX is the path where VSM dumps decrypted game saves. Here, SLOTX is a placeholder for any of the 10 available VSM slots, from slot 0 to slot 9. You choose a VSM slot when backing up or restoring game saves in VSM. In the picture below, the first slot (slot 0) in VSM is the one showing the date "2020-04-05 04:53:54". Here you are free to choose any slot you want to first back up your game saves. Just make sure that you restore from the same slot after overwriting your files with mine.

Do not be confused with VSM saving slots and saving slots in game. There are 2 completely different things.

What seems weird, is that you successfully restored the April 2017 roster but this "File is corrupt" issue appears with the April 2021 roster.

For a guide, check here. I typed it some time ago for Madden 13. In essence, is what you already know, there is nothing new. The main difference is that for Madden 13 the file name is important but it is not for MLBTS14.

By the way, my device is on 3.65 HENkaku. What is the firmware version running in yours?

Lorak, THANK YOU so much for all the work you've done to keep MLB The Show relevant. As a baseball junkie, I love having updated rosters on as many of my games as possible. As soon as I can get a copy of MLB 14 (I only have 15) I will download your 2021 roster and see if I have success. Too bad its not on PKGJ or else I'd just download it from there.

Suggest a few images -better if you share it here- and I would be able to make a livearea patch.

I am asking since a few weeks ago @0leius mentioned that he always got a "File is corrupt" message.
