    Final HOF sliders.

Well, I've began my franchise. Thanks to everyone for their imput and slider suggestions. You guys that take the time to do these, make these games what they are. Mostly come from Pared/Joe's tweaks and a little adjustment on my own. Props to all of you. Here are the sliders I've started with and am going with for the long run.

All auto off, strike zones, hot/cold zones off, Guess Pitch off, etc...
    Settings for both HMN/CPU

    Pitch Count: Maxed
    Pitch Speed: +2
    Contacts: 0
    Power: -1
    Arm Stregth: -3
    Arm Accuracy: -3
    Errors: +3
    CPU Aggresion Run: Maxed

    Everything else is default.

I did have a major glitch after my second game, I've posted it on the regular board. It was a very weird situation, but didn't effect my record or stats. If anyone tries these, let me know how you guys are doing.

Is that contact at 0, or 0 change from default?

Since he says everything ELSE is default I'm assuming that contact isn't.

Yeah, contact is at 0, it allows for more hit variety, choppers, bloopers, etc...

Good to hear. Does this also result in fewer hits? I'm new to the MLB series and am already getting too many on HOF level (with the Pirates). I think raising the pitch speed will obviously result in fewer hits for me as well.

Raising the pitch speed helps, but I also use the Orioles, that helps as well. LOL!!! I use the power swing regardless if I only have 0 or 1 strikes on me, then go to the contact swing with 2 strikes.

Will your sliders workj with CPU vs CPU game?
Madden Xbox and PC 25 (CPU vs CPU), Footbal Mogul 25 (CPU vs CPU), Front Office Football 9 (CPU vs CPU), NBA 2K23 (CPU vs CPU), and several Military and 4X PC simulations.

Yeah, I use the ball cursor. I have a hard enough time pitching with it, couldn't imagine not using it.

As far as CPU -vs- CPU games, I've never tried. Would be great to sit and watch one though, I'll have to try it.

Updates for you guys to try:

I lowered the arm strength to -2
I lowered the arm accuracy to -4

Everything else is the same. Been getting some errors now and then.

Okay, I think I'm going to have to bump this up slowly, b/c I struck out 26 times last night using this. And why do some consider the guess function unrealistic?

I also turn off Pitch Callout. Not sure if that's included in your 'etc.', but it seems like something most people wouldn't turn off.

Pitch Callout is the set of graphics that appear after each pitch: it's the strike zone, the pitch's location, and the speed of the pitch.

Anyways, I played a game with these (lost 7-4), and they're fine. Frankly, I'm starting to think this game is pretty solid - that is, I almost always get good games, no matter what my sliders are set at. Problems I have with the game seem more inherent than slider-related.
