questions about hitting

just got the game and went directly to all-star after two games on veteran. i am having a tough time hitting. 5 hits against wells and 13Ks！horrible perfomance by me.

i am looking help on guessing pitch. i think you can both guess pitch and pitch location. i hold R2 and then select a location. for pitch i hold R2 and select pitch right?

but i had many cases where i guess correctly and the pitch location was indicated before the pitch. sort of a red mark. i then aimed the left stick to that point. is that correct? i then hit either X or the power swing. the problem was that every time i guessed correctly i made an out doing the above. am i missing something?

plus wells did ntot walk a batter. i did swing way too much but he was on way too much as well. i maed out pitch count but he was still near teh zone on every pitch. even in the 8th inning after 100 pitches he was on.

anyway, please help if you can. how do you hit???

As far as Wells goes, I think you need to be more patient at the plate. I guess he'd figures he can get away with throwing everything near the zone If you were swinging and missing alot. It also sounds like your timing may be a little off. I had the same issues with swinging too much also. What I do for batting practice is go to King of the Diamond mode and go to quick play, set up the inning time for five minutes and reset it after my at-bat is over to do it all over again. It helped me a ton. Also, try using the "wide" camera when batting. For some reason, I pick up the pitches better from that angle. And always make sure you are watching the ball as it comes out of the pitcher's hand. You'll see the angle of release alot better. Hope this helps...
