    CPU throws enough balls but...

I just cannot get them to walk me. I have maybe walked 6 or 7 times in like 20 plus games played. I think the strike zone is too big when the CPU pitches. I feel as though I have to start hacking just to get decent pitches to hit. Too many times I am taking pitches that seem low or outside but are called strikes. I think the CPU strike zone and the human strike zone are not the same size...

    Thoughts?

Put it to TIGHT (the strikezone). There will be pitches that you think might be called strikes that are called balls.

That's because the CPU usually gets two strikes if you take alot of pitches. I rarely walk on a 3-1, 4-0 count. It's usually a 3-2 count. Therefore you are on the defensive. What's the batting average for a baseball player with a 3-2 count? Not very good. You have to really develop a full range of hitting skills such as determining what kind of pitch, movement, the pitcher's release. Each strikout, I replay with an eye on the pitcher's motion and release to see if I can determine if its a slider off the plate or a changeup that's hitting the corner. Most k's are coming from offspeed and sliders not the fastball.
I turned off guess pitch anticipating my k's would sky rocket. But I see the same 10k's per game every game! I increased contact, k's were not dramatically reduced but I can't score 10 runs per game and say its realistic. So, I'm back to lower contact. Sorry, I don't have a solution. All I can say is don't approach each at bat with the thought you can't strikout. You hit much better when your on the offense. If you k, so what...look at the bright side, it beats hitting into a DP.
