    who has the best sliders?

I'm not good at all with the zone batting so i play on Veteran but willing to go to All Star with practice. I just need some good sliders. I've read about setting the pitch speed to zero but what about the rest of the settings?

Re: who has the best sliders?

Here are my exact sliders that I'm currently using in my Dodgers Franchise on Vetern difficulty. Keep in mind that I put my defense in Auto Fielding/Auto Throwing as this cuts down on human error, and makes players use their own ratings for their skill level.

    GamePlay
    Vetern
Batting View: Wide (slightly harder to hit, as balls are harder to judge at first...)
    Pitching View: Outfield
Fielding View: Medium (don't really matter as I play with Auto/Auto)
    Umpire: Wide
    Auto Throw: On
    Fielder Assist: Auto
    Auto Baserunning: On
    Auto Slide: On
    Vibration: Off
Windows: Off (makes you throw over and use R3 to look over)
    Guess Pitch Display: Off
    Pitch Callout: Full
    Pitch Interface: Classic
    Ballmarker: On
Tag Up: Off (just visually better)
    Catch Region: Off (" " ")
    Catch Position Off (" " ")
    Hot Zone: Off
    Strike Zone: Off
Guess Pitch: Off (makes it less arcade-like)

    Tuning
    Pitch Count: Maxed
CPU Pitch Speed: Zero, 0, none
    User Pitch Speed: 0
    CPU Contact: 0
    User Contact: 0

    CPU Power: 12
    User Power: 8
    CPU Arm: 2
    User Arm: 2
    CPU Accuracy: 4
    User Accuracy: 4
    CPU Error: 10*
    User Error: 10*
    CPU Baserunning: Maxed
    User Injury: Max
    CPU Injury: Max

With these sliders/settings I am currently 2-2 in my franchise, my highest scoring game being 8 runs, and twice I've only scored 1 run. I've given up a high of 8 runs, and shut out the CPU once. The only thing I might increase by one click, or two, would be the CPU and User errors. I've yet to have one in a game. There should have been one scored in a game I played, but it was scored a hit.....so.....yeah.

These work for me. Try 'em, see if they do anything for you. If not, just keep trying different sets until you come across one you like

I'm a lil worried about User Contact and Power. Do you still get homeruns and base hits?

Absolutely. There's been a huge debate as to why people are having their CPU/User power and contact sliders so low, and its more or less to emphazie the importance of timing. The better your timing, the more square your hit will be, and thus give you a better chance for a basehit. Homeruns are still part of the game with these sliders.

Farv has the best HOF sliders, but remember NOT ALL TEAMS ARE THE SAME so i say pick a slider that suits your team( like the poster is using them with the same team you got), thats what i did and his sliders are truely awesome for yankees.

What if i dropped both pitch speeds to 0 and left everything else blank except i MAX out BR Aggressiveness and raise errors? What'll happen then? Too many hits?

They split the strike zone into zones. If you guess the right zone you make better contact. In MVP it was a mix of too things, the direction where you aimed the stick (down and away made you hit down and away), and where the ball was pitched (if you swung in the same zone the ball was pitched, you usually got better contact) in The Show only the latter is true. You aim the stick soley where you think the ball is going to end up. It is more straight forward, it makes more sense, and I think it naturally makes the game seem a little more realistic. Hit it where its pitched, simple as that. Where you hit it is based on the timing. Early swing, you pull it, late you go opposite field.

Does 0 mean all the way to the left or default?
