    Slider Question (pitch count)

Am I to understand that the pitch count slider affects the nimber of pitches thrown? I thought it was more of a pitcher stamina adjuster (not that any evidence backed that up). How does it work, are there more fouls and balls? Will I throw more balls?

I hope this is the most appropriate place to post this question. I couldn't find the answer during an admittedly cursory check.

It appears that this slider affects the amount of foul balls. I've had at bats where I've foulded off 6 or 7 pitches after turning this slider up.

I believe it affects the ratio of balls to strikes thrown by the CPU pitcher. The more the slider is increased, it seems that they throw more balls to make you chase on 0-2 counts and so on. I've seen some CPU pitchers (if I was patient enough at the plate) reach the 80 pitch count in the 4th inning. It really makes for realistic, enjoyable games.

That's what I understand it to be. Right on the money.

The KEY phrase in Shoguns post is.... When I'm patient enough!

          At least that's my problem.
