    Stloen bases

I lowered pitching speed which has resulted in more stolen bases. I assume it is because the pitches are reaching home slower which gives the runner time to get to second. Now there are 2 sliders base stealing aggression and base stealing frequency. What is the difference? Would base stealing aggressiveness decrease somethings like the lead or the jump that runners on first take??

    Re: Stolen Bases

what i did was lower ALL catcher's TS and TA in the game....their arms are wayyyy too powerful....

A basic guideline: if a catcher has thrown out 37% of the runners in 2006...I'll make his TA (throw accuracy 37) and his TS (throw strength 30)...I also take a look at how many errors he made.

Also, base stealing aggressiveness equals what a player will reasonably wind up with at season's end. Guys like Jose Reyes, Hanley Ramirez & Juan Pierre...who stole over 50 bases...there is no doubt that their BSA (base stealing aggressiveness) should be maxed out.

Baserunning ability...when it comes to guys who steal 20 bases and over a season...GENERALLY means the percentage of times he's successful...give or take other factors. There is no exact science for all players, but I do it this way.

I am finding that there are more successful stolen bases based on the fact that the pitching speed has been lowered. The runners have more time to reach second. Therefore, I am not looking to reduce the TS of catchers. On the contrary I may have to increase it to make up for the reduction in the pitches throwing speed.
