Is this the "Set" you have on Sportsconnect? Do you remember?

do you play with guess pitch on? I just started playing this game again and I still get weak hits and rarely get a homerun eventhough I'm using guess pitch and have the contact at the original setting as well as the power being at +3. Can you give a step by step analysis of your hitting style. For example, my problem i feel is that when using the left analog stick to swing, i feel i go a bit too much to one side or the other. Is the secret to hitting just using the left stick with minimal movements? Or is it better with my more exaggerated gestures, like if the pitch is all the way in the corner, you push the left stick all the way to spot? Its a shame too because all the other sliders you have are spot on, and this is where i suffer most. On a side note, I dont swing at every pitch and can usuall generate a couple of walks a game. I just can't seem to get really good contact on the ball.
Mac: I’m saying that I did an ocular assessment of the situation, garnered that he was not a security risk and I cleared him for passage.

As you know patience is key. My goal at the plate is to try to get to a hitter's count as much as possible because those are the pitches you are going to be able to drive for the big hit. The cpu pitcher loves to throw pitches that will induce the ground ball, that is why many people see the weak grounder so often.

Do you use the swing analysis feature? It is a good tool for your swing and misses to see where your aim was and why you missed the pitch. I wish they had this feature on your contact swings so you get that feedback as well, maybe in 08.

As for how much to move the left stick, I use slight movements toward the ball. The only time I may go extreme is if the pitch is going out of the zone. You could turn the bat coverage indicator on to see how far your coverage goes when you move the stick to gauge this better.

Overall, I know if I stop playing the game for a while it takes me sometime to get back in the groove with the hitting. Try using one of the other sets that generates more offense and work your way back down to the harder settings.

Let me know if you have any other questions or if you still continue to struggle.

I don't remember which set is on there, sorry. You could upload it and just change those items.

Sorry about the late reply. Thanks for the tips. I will work on the hitters count more

I don't understand this set 1, set 2 thing. Does set 1 from one category have to be matched to set 1 in the other category to get desired results? If I like the most realistic stat totals possible, with me playing in franchise mode, which ones do you recommend? thanks

Different sets generate different types of offensive outcomes. You do not have to match the same sets from human and cpu. They were basically developed to help people who wanted different things out of the game. There are no right or wrong settings, it was you feel most comfortable with.
