My problem is too many hits up the middle and opposite field and it's because of "fat" fastballs when the CPU gets his confidence down. Or just too many "fat" fastballs overall. Even on slow pitch speed...Changeups I will pull of course and curveballs but I just wish the CPU could place their fastballs better. In the big leagues you really don't see all that many "fat" fastballs. You do see some hanging curves sliders etc but "fat" fastballs not as many especially 4seam.
You're right, I've learned to go deep into counts and swing as little as possible. Then of course there's the pitcher that refuses to throw balls so i have no choice but to rack up the hits.

i'm interested in how the timing window slider works as well, that setting could also affect where you set pitch speed, i didn't notice much difference where i had it set in the demo.

by playing the demo, i found that the timing slider has great impact in the hit balls..
after lots of testing, i use it at 0 (-10) now , and with this i dont get the "too many hits" problem i had in past versions...
i think that with this slider at 0 , u get more punnished to not hit the ball in perfect timing...genereatin more balls hit for outs and also a greater variety in hits...
when i tested the timing slider maxed , i noticed that it was way easier to hit liners and bombs to everywhere in the field. but the choopers, bloopers and weakly hit balls dissapeard.
also im using pitch speed at 0 and foul tip at 20, so i can still fight pitches off, instead of swing and miss too much.

If you lower contact does that not soften up the hits? I guess that could just force you to be more precise with aiming your swing. I wish Chris or Kolbe would give us some info on how the engine works. Maybe they are afraid of people stealing ideas.
