is it just me or is this the first game ever that actually could be played completely out of the box on the harded level with out any tweaks? cpu outfielder spees is maybe the only thing i can see, well that and reaction time that imo need to be toned down a lot of gappers that are being taken away. other htan that i odnt see a single thing wrong wth how they programmed this game for hall of fame.. do you?

the main problem im having is,the computer cant hit.they get a few hits here and there, but they hardly score any runs.i havent had a game under 10 hits.i never really feel challenged.other than that im loving the game.

The cpu offense is so anemic this year it is not even funny. Their skill level is just above 'T' ball.
I really hope this is not a sampling of where this series is going because I would have to graciously get off at the next stop.

are the player attributes under player edits the only thing that separate players from one another or could there be hidden ones we can't access, for instance if i set david ortiz to maximum contact and power and david ecstein to max contact and power will they perform the same at the plate?

there is plate vision i think that affects cpu batters.....batter discipline is also another attribute that should affect cpu batters.

but i think contact and power are the 2 most significant....

so, if you do set eckstein's contact/power ratings similar to ortiz....his stats should be similar to ortiz.

i really don't think there are any hidden attributes....but i could be wrong

Plate vision is a slider for the human player.

i think that's also an attribute rating....i dont know if you can edit it...but if u press select while the cpu is hitting you can see a PVis rating .

For real though. Guys are working so hard on sliders that we know a negative will always be brought up. Unless game developers test sports games out in cpu/cpu mode, there will always be negatives for the rest of gaming history.
